Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance this week and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I watch the Vegas/Southern NV thread with the hope of seeing some meet and greets planned in the not too distant future. Recovering from a foot surgery, so trail rides are a Fall/Winter hope in 2019. But will try to get to a meeting if possible in the Vegas area.
I'm still looking for that...
I use 2 ARB gear bags.. They are just 2 of those I use in my recovery gear ensemble.
Here is a picture of the smaller 1.
The OEM TRUCK hooks paired with the winch bumper CLEVIS rings
True...but that photo you submitted shows a 3rd hole, that has a RUST-RING halo where a 3rd bolt once was. I would at minimum put in some GRADE 8 bolts in all 3 attachment spots to the frame.
This would be cheap insurance, and increase the safety factor for all invoved.
That recovery point seems a little on the light side. Is it a 2 or 3 point attachment?
The attachment bolts also seem SMALL. My personal opinion is that it is marginal, and should only be used in a BRIDLE configuration. A better product design is the ARB . But it is only available for...
I decided to go more traditional in my aux lighting choice. I also decided to go with Amber for a number of reasons.
Amber is less of an irritant to oncoming drivers, and you can leave them on without being flashed most of the time. This may also be because of the New LED headlights are so...
I had a blueheeler, a rescue pup. I enjoyed many years with him. One of the smartest dogs I've ever known. He would try something...trick...action...and if he got a positive reaction, that was it. It became a LEARNED part of his life. No repeat...no over and over to learn.
Swear that dog...
I be thinking.....this thread needs some puppy love[emoji2] I know that there are a lot more pics of doggies on the road, and camp pup's hanging out in camp.
Unfortunately for me...a computer crash killed the outdoor pics I had. Will have to revisit down the road with a update.
LETS SEE THEM
I posted in the thread....."whats in your recovery kit" It is extensive. With that said, I use 2 ARB bags. The Large $55 and the small shoe box shaped one $35. The large bag fits my straps, the line dampener, most of my clevis's, a pair of gloves. It just barely closes. The smaller one fits the...
I did the switch. Had it installed into the top of my bumper. Now i can cut off currant without opening my hood. It is a weather proof type switch. Less chance of a battery drain when not in use.....piece of mind when using the winch.
Great pics. Look at all that potential firewood in the stream bed:laughing:.. I hope you took some cleanup photos of the trash. If you did post them in the "leaving it better than you found it" thread.
Let me guess...the trash wasn't because the CANS were full. Lazy yahoo's....go out into...
Something different, some night shots with a Samsung amp prime cell phone. Back side of Strawberry Point....Death valley Jct.....west of Pahrump NV. Simple pics of the Moon on a clear night. Missed a couple of opportunities when driving to get that full moon with clouds highlighted around it...
Here are a few more. I really like sunrise and sunsets. These were taken outside Las Vegas and near Death Valley. One from the 14th floor from the Holiday Inn hotel in Winnipeg Canada..Southern Utah near Strawberry Point.
This is so true. And your explanation is dead on. I had a business project that took me thru western Canada and Alaska. On my way to the coast, we had to go thru the mountains to Juneau. Our Sirus radio quit working because of the satellite shadow effect. It also quit when we were further...
Ahhh...I think you mean/ want a full winch bull bar front bumper. Not one of those hooped center grill want " A-Bee's. That are more show than go, when comes to protection....(see my avatar photo). It is the ARB version.
When the cost of one of these is compared to replacing the OME parts...
Organization is the ticket for less stress when loading your rig. It probably needs it's own discussion thread different from just gear packing.
Like how do you store your gear in your garage when not using it. Do you just throw it in any hole/place it will fit? Or do you have dedicated...
