I believe there’s a situation for every kind of camping. I’ve slept in ground tents, pop-up campers, pull behind campers, soft shell RTT, & bed of my truck. The thing I hated most about ground tents are if it rains. It seems like they just never get dry afterwards and they’re so nasty to tear...

Oh yeah the poop bags and leashes stay in the back of the taco. The only time I ever need them is if I take her somewhere. She just roams free in the yard at home. She Just stays beside me where ever I go around the campsight or campground

I was just up near your area last weekend. Took a day trip up to Grayson Highlands and found a forest road up to a nice camping area just north of the park. Amazing views. Wild horses and longhorns visible all around
