OB Approved Overlanding/Camping with a dog

Is that where your dog rides when traveling too? Or is that just it’s bed?

My remote start will kill the engine if you touch the brake pedal without the key in the ignition. It also only runs for about 20 minutes and will shut itself off

2015 Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab Build

Finally got around to replacing the 2” block lift in the rear of the Taco yesterday. Upgraded to some much needed new Old Man Emu Leaf Packs. Did the install and made the 2 hour drive home with the new leaf packs and they made a huge difference in the ride quality. Really hoping to do another...

Let’s be honest; Roof Top Tent- Yay or Nay?

Might have to look at getting one. I plan on going on a few fall trips to the VA mountains and it gets pretty cool up there after October

Let’s be honest; Roof Top Tent- Yay or Nay?

Tepui makes those anti-condensation mats to put under the mattress but I’m skeptical if they really work or not. That mattress could definitely be softer though. I’m a side and belly sleeper and the first night I slept in it I woke up on my side and my hip was killing me. I don’t know if a...

Let’s be honest; Roof Top Tent- Yay or Nay?

Yeah my Tepui has some shavings under the mattress as well but not a lot. Haven’t actually got to use it in colder weather yet and I am worried about condensation or how it’ll do in the snow. Mattress definitely could be thicker in my opinion. But, I really can’t complain too bad considering I...

Let’s be honest; Roof Top Tent- Yay or Nay?

Oh yeah I’ve seen their stuff online and watching MSO on YouTube. I could sure spend a bunch of money there lol

Let’s be honest; Roof Top Tent- Yay or Nay?

I really like those a lot. I just have a Tepui Kukenam Sky. I like the tent but I’m not sure how great it would do in cold weather. That and the setup time is definitely longer than it is on your tent

What kind of RTT do you have?

    Dusty, The Trusty Taco

Nice rig. I love those ARB bumpers on Tacoma’s. Also love the new tent setup

Mostly weekends. Along with a few long weekends. Usually take a week long hunting trip in November.

    Roof top tent recommendations

I have a Tepui and I’ve used it a handful of times this year. No experience in cooler weather camping with it yet but it has done a good job so far. I really like the looks of those iKamper tents too. I like the lower profile they have when they’re folded up

    Roof top tents and dogs.

I have a camper top on my Tacoma. I sleep in the RTT and my German Shepherd sleeps in the bed of the truck. She’s out of the the elements and off the ground where nothing can get to her.

    BFG KO2 Tires

The majority of the people I’ve seen that don’t like BFG tires are people with full size and diesel trucks. They’re just so heavy. But most people that have lighter vehicles like Tacomas, FJ’s, and even 4Runners usually have plenty of good to say. I’ve talked to several other people on Instagram...

    BFG KO2 Tires

Thanks! She’s a work in progress but does a great job. I’ve known a few people that ran Falkens and they really didn’t care for them. Tread wore out pretty quick and didn’t ride very smooth. But both of them were driving Chevy 2500 HD Silverados, so the weight might have contributed to that. I...

    BFG KO2 Tires

I’ve had BFG KM2’s in the past on a S10 ZR2 I used to have. The tires did amazing in all conditions including 2ft of snow. I was a huge fan. They rode smooth and very surprisingly quiet for a mud tire. A buddy of mine has KO2’s on his regular cab, long bed power stroke and so far he really likes...
