Actually there are a bunch of videos on that topic of putting the soft top up and down. There is an extra step but nothing crazy. The Gobi has a quick release rock it back and pull the top down. I am more worried about the extra noise and flapping that may occur when the wind goes over and under...
I really like the new Colorado diesel. I think you get the range you need. But I have also looked at the Ram 1500 Big Horn with the v6 Diesel (27mpg HWY). The interior is much better. Not a huge fan of the GM interior design either.
I am guessing there is some good reason (FLAPPING) that I do not see or hear about many soft top Jeeps with a roof rack. Can anyone confirm an issues with this? I need a little more storage and was thinking about going with a roof rack of some sort. I just added to my rear bumper (RockHard4x4)...
There are many DIY solutions with and without a roof rack. If you have a light bar you can use those provisions to run a cable from there to the hood releases. Or you can use the below link which is one of many. I was looking at these since the price is not all that bad. However I have no...
I have been using this bag on my rear bumper rack, it keep everything dust free and dry even in Florida. I went with a bag rather than a box or container due to weight. It works well for me but may not be great for everyone

Just got the WJ finished...for now. 3 inch IRO lift, 265/70/17 General AT2 on my old Rubicon wheels, Rock Hard Rear bumper compliments of insurance and the person who hit my daughter, etc etc. Now taking it to Jeep Beach in Daytona this weekend along with my JKU.
Well my daughter just got into a fender bender. Someone rear ended her! Sucks. However I got a quote for a new bumper and 1500 bucks was the cost for a new rear bumper with paint. I was thinking a RockHard or Hanson bumper may be cheaper and better!! Any thoughts on any rear bumpers would be great
I like the look of a good zinc coded powder coating. I run the Rock Hard 4x4 rails on my JK down here in Tampa FL. I have had them 3 years in Salt Sand and Sun the powder coat has held up great. I use Rustoleum wrinkle finish to fix the under side when I use the rock rails on the trail. The...
Is anyone up for a ride in December? I am thinking Citrus / Ocala National Forest / or if you guys just want to play around at Hard Rock. We can make it kid friendly as well. I have two girls 16 and 14. What do you guys think about December 2nd and 3rd. Right now I am good for that weekend. We...
Look at the Rock Krawler 1.5 if you are going 33. It will look better and may drive better because caster will be closer to stock. Also consider the Prodigy shocks. Tires are tough to recommend. You will get a flurry of answers. I am running 32 General Grabber at2 on a Grand Cherokee and they...
I run the Rock Hard Front / Rear bumpers and Rock Rails. They have held up in the Florida sun and heat very well. I have also beat the rock rails pretty hard. I have been very happy with them. James at RH is a great guy as well
I am good for all the above. Just about 15 to 20minutes longer up the road from croom is Citrus. The next 2 weekends are not good for me but after that I am good.
