As you notice this thread, please introduce yourself and answer a few questions.

Today's trip allowed me a few things.
It showed me within 30 mins I can be to state Forest land and then could spend the rest of my time until I was ready to head home...off pavement.
It allowed me to scout 2 more campsites and hopefully continue my families excitement for dispersed camping...
Checked out the entrance to my trip.
We headed down to Colerain road. Scouted camping sites 2 and 1 and then made a small loop.

Sorry,I just assumed lol. I used to spend alot of time in the poconos when I was a kid exploring (summer trips to visit my cousin) bit haven't been there in awhile. I seen a trip the other week where a group went through the pine barrens... that looked like a good ride.
Awesome thread. We have been solely camping with our travel trailer for the last 4 years. So we have everything and then some stowed in it.
We have just recently found out about the primitive motorized dispersed camping and now have to get back to a much smaller more mobile and user friendly...
The rest of the info I had requested showed up.
Got some better maps and info on the camping sites.
Will check it out later and give a report on what I learned.
I have been keeping track of people who have helped with or shown interest in my ramblings and in the Pennsylvania State Forests in genral.

Bald Eagle
Michaux
Moshannan
Rothrock
The Allegheny National Forest is also popular...being in the Susquehannok...
Wandering if anyone attends. Last year was my first year and it is now a ritual that coincides with my decades long trek to Chrysler@Carlisle (they are the same weekend)
