Some information. We had planned to put in at Locke Mills on Knob Ridge Road but it looked like a private drive. So we drove down to Reeds Gap park and checked for another road. We put in further down the road at Red ridge road. When you get up to the intersection of red ridge and Knob ridge...

Bald Eagle State Forest in a RAM or 2

@LGlx we got onto Longwell Draft road. My fullfigured truck fit just fine...but the over growth was into the windows. LONGwell Draft rd is just LONG. LOL. Flat hollow Rd and Strong mountain Rd which lead to it on the west side are actually more interesting. But they were all fun.

Bald Eagle State Forest in a RAM or 2

We got out again today. Found out my set in road I planned to use is closed. All good. I balked at going down it as it looked like a private drive. When we did get into the Forest down the main road some. We came to the sign that showed it was closed. So glad I didn't drive up a private lane...

They are big enough. Some are set up for horse trailers. They have a 10 person limit though. I am not planning on planning one but if I was I the area I'd join in. Atleast not right now. I got too much going on to organize a meetup

Gathering information/thoughts/ experiences/unique, must see things for a planned trip around Central Pennsylvania(all of PA and surrounding states)

Today my son and I started in Rothrock and travelled off pavement to Bald Eagle. It is very easy to make the connection. Lots more to explore in Bald Eagle than Rothrock. We got a few driveable trails in today. My son says they are much more fun.

    Rothrock to Bald Eagle connection

We made the connection It is very easy to get from one to the other. And it can be done with very very minimal pavement. Crossing 322 was a bit exciting and annoying. There is a more direct route than the one we took. But we wanted as little pavement as possible. There are also multiple...

    Rothrock to Bald Eagle connection

Hopefully the weekend I will start in Rothrock and drive to Bald eagle. With this track...if I would have continued east instead of going south I would have been there.

So we had a great day. Started in Spruce Creek on Colerain Rd and went on some roads we hadn't been. We crossed at Route 26 and then explored this section. We hit roads we hadn't been on yet and found campsite 4 and Greenwood firetower. We ended at Greenwood Furnace State Park. We were within...
