So...we drove up last night. Spur of the moment on a whim. Filled the truck up with gas at the Snappy's at the Bald eagle Exit of 99. I had .25 cents off a gallon. 30 gallons later we took off. Headed up 350 to 53 in Phillipsburg. Then went left onto Deer Creek road in Morrisdale...

I did check it out. I got to listen to half of the first one. I got called to duty...break was over at work...so I didn't get to finish. Hopefully this weekend while sitting by the Campfire I can finish both.

We just camped every weekend in August. We have camped every weekend in September. And on Friday we will be starting October. I have been following along on all your trips. I really like the Chasing Campfires theme. I am a bit hesitant about group camping...but if I get a chance to come to...

I had my 14 year old daughter and 7 year old son there. They loved it..we were at site 62. There is very little traffic there. Just a short drive over to poe paddy and there are tons of people though. You will have a good time. Safe travels.

@riss800 site 61 is one of our favorites. It has the lean to. We camped at 62. It was a great spot. 61 ia the one my son wanted. I have a few scout pics of it in my threads...but here is one. There is no cell service...but there is a restroom nearby at Bear Gap picnic area and a general...

Unfortunately I am sitting by the campfire right now at Blue Knob State Park. @riss800 I will not be in that area this weekend. We were going to be in Moshannon State Forest...but the camping was booked. If by chance we would take a drive I will be sure to look you up though.

There are dispersed sites down Medix Run up by Benezette. But the fisherman really like them. Some really good fishing there. We were going that way this weekend to see the Elk...but now not sure what the plans are.

Is everyone out enjoying the outdoors via off pavement travel and dispersed camping? It has been quite here lately We haven't been back to the forest but we have camped every weekend with the travel trailer. Lots of people became campers this year...and that really hasn't been a good thing...
