I got my Purple Lizard Maps this past week.
One and only one disappointing thing was they don't have a fire tower symbol. Just a square dot and tower after the name.
The day use map for Bald Eagle shows one. But, the Purple Lizard map does not have it listed.
Will be interested to get tires...
Alot of state park campgrounds are open. The state forest motorized campsites are open.
Do a search with Bald Eagle or Rothrock. You will find some of our plans in the Pennsylvania area.
So I got my purple lizard maps and was checking out some of the stuff that was being asked.
It seems you picked a good location for the trip we had discussed before. You are right by Negro Hollow Trail. You are also near route 45 were you will be able to get supplies/fuel if needed.

Gonna do some looking now.
Welcome. Be sure to check in with the PA roll call and let us know if we can help.
See if any of this interests you aswell.

Maybe Monday my son and I can hit the trails. Mom has work. Hhhmmm.

There are a few drivable trails there. I havent hit any yet, but plan to soon.
The fire towers are cool to see.
We hiked a bit on the mid state trail.
There is alot of native American history there as...
Was curious if you made it out. I can not wait to head back down through there on my way to Bald Eagle.
We may be staying at the one large motorized campsite with our travel trailer in a few weekends. I really liked Rothrock from a forest standpoint. Lota of things to see. Firetowers and...
