@Cody_Gorsuch
Had to figure out where your question was.
Well. So far I have not found the sites yet.
As far as roads. It is pretty hard to beat BESF. I am sure a few roads in Elk will be fun but most are just normal State Forest roads.
That being said...if you are looking for "off road...
Got the first scouting route figured out
I plan to come out of Moshannon at Medix Run and then take 555 into Benezette turning left onto Summerson Rd. Then onto Porcupine rd following Dents Run Rd back to 555. Then left into Hicks Run Rd to check out the camping area and then Barr Hollow to...

Some information about the connection between Rothrock and Bald Eagle State Forests and the finally completed construction at Rt 322.
Google maps has no idea about gated roads. And since the last time I was there the traffic pattern has been different 3 out of 4 times...I had no way to know for...

They do not show up in searches or on the interactive camping map I...
What I took away from this trip. Connecting 2 maps(4 total sides), and 3 State Forests in 7hrs was exhausting. I started out taking my time and gathering pics. Then I started driving to complete the route, and that took away from the adventure.
I renewed my dislike for technology and...
@NJCoastal
My wife and I have been contemplating moving if my job goes away here at the beging of the year.
Unfortunately I want to live nowhere else...just need to find a better location within.
I had a very productive off pavement adventure yesterday.
Got through Rothrock, Bald Eagle and into Tiadaghton SF. 155 miles and 7hours.
Found out exactly how much I hate following a route(even though it was my own). How much I hate technology...yep...it went down when I needed it the most...
Which state forest?
Rothrock is perfectly fine for both mentioned trucks. Very few trails are overgrown here. I have been on nearly every road with my RAM HeftyDuty.
Bald Eagle is much more overgrown. All but a few trails are stock rig friendly. A few trails require a bit more clearance and...
I wish I still had my ole Dodge. Just always seemed better shift my own gears and feeling the truck do its thing.still kicking myself for letting it go
