Do you want to lower engine bay temps or the engine’s internal temp?
Wrap will significantly lower the life of the exhaust, jet hot can’t be added yourself. You buy jet hot coated headers. I’ve had really good luck with Eastwood ceramic exhaust coating. The key is the you have to coat the...
With my buddy heater it was over 60 degrees all night as the temps in the valley were single digit at the highest, below zero at the coldest. I call that a win!
There was a time when factory filters and air boxes were restrictive however those days are long past for the most part and computer adaptive control has changed engine mods to a point that a k and n with cai offer little to non in ways of performance.
As for the filtering itself, stock is...
I love my Sierra Designs back country beds for overlanding and for backpacking I have 2 quilts made by hammock gear. A 20 and a 40 degree wide, long with 2oz overfill. These are awesome. I can put these inside of each other or my back country beds to add temp limits.
For hiking and backpacking I love my Lowa Tibet GTX mids. A little heavy but never fail me. For trail work, sawyer stuff, and disaster response or SAR I’m wearing my Danner USMC RAT boots with steel toe. These boots are amazing, they have taken me safely through so many places.
I wish the guy would have taken the cover off the saw to show the fibers wrapped around the gear on that vid.
Side note, he’s wearing a Kask super plasma helmet which I think is the most comfortable arborist helmet out there.
Nicely done. For reference on grids UTM has been the standard in the US outside of the military for sometime but is transitioning to USNG which is somewhat easier and more related to MGRS.

Store your water bottles upside down so if they do freeze it’s on the bottom.
I like liner gloves with over mitts, my hands get cold with just gloves.
Oven bags on your...
I’d invest in some quality gauges before you spend money for solutions to problems that don’t exist. Your stock gauges are notoriously inaccurate anyway. I don’t like to add coolers unless they are needed, they are just additional things to fail.
If the fan is a thermostatically controlled...
Just finished up a trip with friends near Lake Michigan. Our Basecamp was in a valley and the temps were very low. The weather service reported a range of -2 to 9 degrees F not including windchill. We had an absolute blast and with my buddy heater the shiftpod stayed around 60 degrees all...
