Our 2 person tent is an old Kelty Zen. It weighs about 4 lbs, and folds down to about the size of a 2L bottle of soda. Only two poles, has an excellent rain fly, stands up to wind really well, but you really do need to stake it out to properly set it up, which might be a challenge on slick...

how small are these chairs when they're all packed up? I'm curious because we just use the standard Sports Authority $9.99 special. They work great, but are a bit bulky. Just curious-

It sounds to me like you're describing National Forest Service/BLM road signs that identify fire service roads and such. They are often on a small brown sign and have a number/letter combo. EDIT: looks like this was already covered. Shows me for answering before reading the entire thread :)

Yep... Carhartt is made in the US still. For me, the country of origin is a consideration, but almost never a deal breaker - it's about the quality. Though... I must say, I haven't been drinking Russian Vodka since Putin moved on the Ukraine.

I'm not from there, so I can't give you first hand knowledge, but it looks like you're going to be right next to the Rogue River - Siskiyou National Forest, so there should be tons of forest service roads to get out and explore on... I found a link to the vehicle use maps that might be a good...

After you've played with the tent, give us a review! When we go out, there are 5 of us + 2 dogs, and we are in two tents. I'm thinking of getting just one big 8-10 person tent, so I'd love to hear your thoughts.

They do! I believe the worlds largest expo is the Abenteuer und Allrad (spelling?) show in Germany. I watched a video that Andrew St. Pierre White did on it a year or two ago, and it looked amazing. This year's show is in June from the 15th through the 19th... check it out for us stuck state...

You can fit 33" on an SR5 with a lift, 32's will fit in stock configuration... it's the 35's that require the major mods [emoji12] I've never done those trails myself- but I'd feel confident giving them a go in my stock Trail. This guy looks to be in a stock TE and seems to be doing just fine...
