I'm back from exploring a run from New Boston to Washington NH, mostly by dirt! That was fun and successful. Once my tablet decides to update the laptop, I'll get a map route shown. Till then, I'm updating the YouTube site with videos of the run. I'll get a couple a day processed over the next...
Next trek for me, starts Tuesday am. Figuring actual mileage at 55-60 miles starting in New Boston and ending in Charlestown (campground). Unity/Charlestown has quite a few roads out there! Yet I do think they may be more than I wish to do.. Shall see.
Those loops are alternative roads if...
I'm working on a Class 6 road map of NH. Wondering if any others may be interesting on assisting. I've mapped out Belknap County and moving to Carroll next. I have the list of Class 6 roads I can provide. Requires a mapping program that can produce .gpx (I'm using Gaia) To be able to share.
Bought a 70qt Costway frig and it's working out very well. My 24hr draw is +- 15amps (625 ma an hour). Key is to be certain it's a compressor style unit. Several others out there on the cheap that are not and will only lower the temp 20° from ambient. I use my overland daily (if only for an hour...
May a exploratory run n/w of Barrington. It's along a route I'm working to get out to Mount Agamenticus in York, ME. The area has been taken over leaving only a trail (class 6) still available. We did run all the way to Mount Agamenticus and was worth the run! If you haven't been, it will...
Cool! Have you done Clapp Road in Strafford yet? That one is an 8 to me. I would do it again with others, but not alone again (in fact I bailed alone). I would guess deep into your Blue, maybe even Black. Been trying to get a rating on that road from someone. Would be a good basis for me.
Thank you for that! I was looking for something that worked for all of us.
I believe you leave Overlanding as you enter Blue.. I see a scale of 1 to 10 being 1 as stock anything can do. Once you hit 2, 4x required, then 4 being slightly modified. Your mid-point (to black) is 'experienced...
Did a quick look at the list and see several that are now gated.. Mostly gone to hiking trails. I'm working on a North South route and have the basic's in play now. Takes 4 days to run Manchester to Pittsburg! I started filming and talking about some it on the last run, Berlin to Pittsburg...
Not attempting to lame either. Certain there are some very good folk over there. I bucked heads a bit over routing...
Anyway. That's an area I wish to explore a bit more in depth. I also have several routes through there I wish to see and rate.
You'll see part of the Hampster Run (some very...
I just started posting outings/exploration runs on the Calling all NH thread Here . I'd like to explore some in the Umbagog/Richardson area. Seems there's a whole world to it's self between the two! I'll be back up around there towards the end of the month. This week is dedicated to the...
I'm was looking for a good place to post my new exploring videos and decided on YouTube for now. If you know of a better spot please mention it.
Have a peek if you so wish. I'm still uploading from the last run (first filming), so more content or the next few days.
Byways no Highways
Started up a new YouTube Channel that I'll be posting my videos on. Just started today so only a few up. Enjoy!
Byways no Highways All of this will pertain to NH and the many offerings right here for us!
Okay folks.. any have hinged lifts that are strut assisted, but I have a full lift (no hinge). Don't see any calculators online for my situation. I'm sure a few of you have gone through this before, so I ask. How the heck did you figure out which one and correct install?
Guessing here, but if I...
The origin of this post goes back over a year ago. Yet only 3 folks show up at any meets as of yet... If this is all the active NH Crew, so be it.
Come on NH!!! Let's get active!! There's much to explore without paying hundreds to do so! Come to a meet and let's talk some.
