Gas struts

Okay folks.. any have hinged lifts that are strut assisted, but I have a full lift (no hinge). Don't see any calculators online for my situation. I'm sure a few of you have gone through this before, so I ask. How the heck did you figure out which one and correct install?

Guessing here, but if I use the hinged calculator (they typically use 2) and go half the rating (using 4) I should be pretty close on rating. Install will position will differ... I think..
