None of the WM box stores had them locally. I finally saw one in person and really liked it. Im thinking of getting a smaller one for just camp cocktails and spare clean ice for them cocktails. Have to keep an eye out !

This is the tray I built to raise the bottom and mount controller and inverter to.
I hot glued in the MC4 fittings for the solar panel. This kit will never see weather but it does seal the opening just in case.
Pelican cases are expensive but they are a lockable , water tight, indestructable case and the last one you ever need to buy. I just built a solar kit in one and these things are rugged.
I really like that Cal Topo , I have never seen that one and appears to be a very kool program. I am gonna spend some hours trying to learn that one for sure ! Never enough hours in a day...lol
Depends on how far you have to ship. From Ct to NH isn't far and it was $28. The pelican cases are heavy duty though, and that one weighs 24lbs empty, so I guess that price aint bad, but I would hate to ship one cross country...lol.

Worked on the solar kit today...
Strapped the batteries in, cut holes and mounted all power outlets, built tray for inverter and controller. Just need to do some wiring now.
Worked on the solar kit today. I started with an empty Pelican 1650 this morning and now I have the batteries strapped in. I was able to screw the strapping right to the pelican base and was surprised at how tough these cases are. The batteries don't budge.
