Love our buddy heater. We only run it below in the annex and let the heat rise up into the rtt and it works out perfect. We run it off a 20lb tank and it provides plenty of heat.

I dont mount the panel because each camp spot is different. I have a 20' lead to be able to position it for the best sun collection. Time of year can effect it too. Winter months the sun is not as high and its nice to be able to change panel angle.

Thsnkyou! I run a 100w monocrystalline panel and it has been plenty so far. Mono panels take in power in even lower light periods.

No problems with heat, its further away from the grill than it looks...lol

I removed the rear seat and built a small platform to keep the floor level. Inside i keep the solar kit, clothes, recovery gear, and loose extras. Mostly i just utilize my roof space (2 totes and tent) and a cargo basket (cooler and portajohnny) for the rest. Weight distribution was the killer...

Yeah i wouldnt add that weight to the stock setup.
