Without the case it was roughly $700. Batteries and panel are the biggest cost and depending on your needs it could be a lot less or a lot more. This setup has provided everything we need. Powers camp tunes all day/night/weekend, charged devices, ran tent fan all night and all camp lights...
No...same controller is used. Lithium is just a better quality battery to store the power. Someday I will go lithium but the wallet needs to catch up...lol
Monocrystalline panels even take in power in low light situations. I use (2) 100AH batteries, a 100W mono flex panel with 25' extension to move as the sun does if need be. Never been a problem running anything for days on end.
Video of the solar kit I built is in my sig below.
All RTT's are similar in concept and all set up/breakdown pretty quick in their own way. But most will also eat up any roof space you have on a 2dr jeep unfortunately. But IMO they are worth their weight in gold.
We leave a fleece sheet and a cotton sheet tucked around mattress and then the sleeping bags we leave open, but pre fold them in half on the front of tent so that when I close it they don't go flying creating bulk. Closes easy and flat that way.
Just like @vegasjeepguy , we like being spoiled...
