You know, I never think about using dry ice. I know its a lot colder than water-ice. Does it store more heat though?
What I'd like to know is; what people like to use as water proof containers for food that lives in ice chests? Something you can trust not to leak.
The camping trip before...
We were heading out camping and found we needed a few things. One was an ice chest. Not wanting to turn back, Julie came up with the idea of hitting the Oak Harbor Wall Mart.
Long story short, we found a Rubbermaid ice chest on special for around six dollars. I figured it would be fine for the...
Never mind I set up a rally point for this. I figure we can edit the rally point as things get finalized. At least now we have a central place to display the information, dates, route, who's in who's out etc.

As far as I'm concerned, July 15 is fine. We need the route for the planner thing. Does anyone have the route and know how to enter it in the planner?

How many spices? I figured, "Heck, 4 or 5? That's including salt n pepper. What's the big deal?"
Liking the idea of setting up with uniform containers to make storing things easier, I picked up, Amazon as well, a dozen glass "spice jars". Kinda' like @Theodore Sharp above. (Didn't think of...
Ok, I updated the blog. If you don't see the new links you can (on Macs) hold down the shift key and click your refresh button. Maybe the same trick holds true for PCs as well?
Anyway, the blog link is on my signature.
Enjoy!

Donno' about the dishwasher. It couldn't get it dry enough. I've used it for cleaning up RC cars and BOY does it work well for that! You need to make sure they are as clean as possible BEFORE running them in there or you'll be in big dodo.
Was able to get the machine up and running enough to...
That might work. I actually need a day to get this rig down to the border from up here in Anacortes. I can only pull about 45 on the open road so its backroads and extra time for me. I'd originally set it for Sat. because, being retired, I could use the Friday to come down and not hold up...
Ha, thanks! Its certainly a head turner. Getting it in good enough shape to actually go places is turning out to be quite the chore. I think I bit off more than I thought.
But when it works, it sure is fun!

I finally got the Carryall back together and seemingly running. We took it out on a short Burger Patrol yesterday to see if it would go about on its own power. And, like I said, so far everything seems to be working. Well, except the new speedo, but that's a minor point.
At the Bastion in...
Replying to myself? How sad..
Anyway, for those of you following this. I just did an update to my build log. As always, the link is at the bottom of the page here.
Enjoy!

My plan is to go mid July. After the 4th. South to north. I'd feel bad setting it up because I have zero experience.
I'm voting for Sat, July 14th. As the start date. Figure 6 days to get to Canada.

Here, I stole this picture from Jason.. Proof that it happened.
Chris, Me & Jason After lunch at Conway Pub. Next time we should take some gear and have lunch off-road somewhere.

We came, we saw, we met up! And it was a lot of fun!
The first real hurtle was, how to tell who was here to meet up and who was just one of about 100 locals? We , Julie & I, brought the M37 as a flag to at least let people know we were there. Unfortunately we were a bit late, should have been...
