I always like watching full size truck builds. I have a 99 Silverado, though aside from the cap on the back and some decent A/Ts I haven't done much more than maintenance. There isn't much offroading in WI (unless you count winter driving) so I haven't needed to do much to it yet.
Bronco, guns, coffee... Did we just become best friends?
Seriously though, welcome to the forum. Nice looking rig, and an impressive amount of miles for an original drivetrain. I've long considered getting a Bronco of some flavor. My favorites are the 1st gen, but they are getting...
We have been camping with our son since he was about 2. We didn't do a lot of driving in the early years, more destination car camping really. A portable DVD player or tablet goes a long way in case of boredom meltdowns. We try to engage him in games like counting certain colors of cars, looking...
Sorry to hear.
We have a 2010 Outback and love it. I will never NOT own a Subaru again. I may have other vehicles around, but a Subie will always be here. I would recommend an Outback or Forester as your friend suggested. The Foresters have a little more aftermarket support from what I've seen...
Welcome to the forum man! I'll echo others and say get out and rock what you've got, figure out where you want to be, then start drooling on the rig you want after the fact.
Good on you for diy repairs too. No better way to be confident in the middle of nowhere than knowing how to work on your...
Wow, that first pic is astounding! They're all good, but that is something else.
Welcome to the forum from WI. Whereabouts was the first shot taken? Pretty sure that's on my list of places I need to see!
Just watched episode one and subscribed. I've been working on electrical stuff for years (mostly musical gear) but have never gotten into reading schematics or really diving into the "why" it works. Thanks man, keep it up!
@1Louder nailed it with #1. Common sense. Keep your wits about you, and don't let pride get you lost, stuck, or dead.
Gear wise, prioritize water, fire, warmth (sleeping bag, clothes, blankets etc.) , a solid knife, and some basic tools. But most importantly, know how to use/acquire those...
I need to come check that park out. I want to see what I can really do with our Outback. I also need more Italian beef in my life. Kind of crazy to hear you know people here. Small world. I don't get down that way too much anymore. My brother used to live in Grayslake, and my parents in Zion...
Congrats on getting out of IL!
Jokes aside, I actually know where McHenry is. I’ve played Mackey’s Hideout a time or two and have a few musician buddies there. Nice Tacoma man.
I can second LAPG whole heartedly. I've been wearing the tactical operator whatever the hell they are called pants for about 4 years. Probably have 8 pair. I buy 2 a year, wear them constantly, and still have every pair I've bought. Some are faded and worn, but I usually get about 18 months of...
