    Appalachian trail overland route......

I've learned that gpx files availability and cost depend on who develops them and how they are shared. Some files are shared here for free, but the entity that posts the MABDR files is charging a small fee for each one. I like free, but if they've done all the research for me there's a value...

    Tailgater Tire Table

I bought the Tailgater Tire Table last year, but only set it up at home to check it out. This weekend went camping and finally really used it. Although we were in a state park campground, which did have a picnic table, I intentionally set up and used the Tire Table. As we have no issue eating...

I spent the weekend in BESF. We drove around that area, Poe Paddy State Park, over Poe Paddy Drive, and Ingleby View/Penns View. Definitely a good place to set up a base camp and go from there. Great weather, some rough "road", mostly gravel roads, nothing technical. Awesome to be back...

    First Aid/Fire Extinguisher Identification

Well put... Both are mounted to a roll bar, extinguisher typical red and aid kit marked. Neither should be ejected, and how well they'd survive a rollover depends on the incident. Extinguisher is checked regularly and replaced as needed. Kit is basic trauma/medical backcountry/survival...

    First Aid/Fire Extinguisher Identification

Absolutely solid question. First, vast majority of the time my gf is with me and knows where stuff is. Next, if we are with others, typically each has his/her own kit. Third strike, sucks to be me...

    First Aid/Fire Extinguisher Identification

If you go looking (i.e., open the back of my Jeep and look) or the top is down, they are both obvious to someone looking for them, especially if I tell someone to get either one. Not intended to be hidden, but also not intended to advertise. So yes, my plan is for my use or the use of those I...

    First Aid/Fire Extinguisher Identification

Both are visible if you look, especially if the top is down. No outward indicators, I don't have them for others to use without my knowledge. My girlfriend knows they're there if needed for me, otherwise I'll get what I need to assist others.

    What is your rigs name

"Adventure". I'd been wanting and looking for a Jeep for years, was driving a 2000 Chevy for many years and many adventures across the country. Just before the first of the year 2019 I had a heart attack, then turned 50, then got divorced, then decided my next 50 years will be even better -...

Forgot to mention, while Michaux is local, I am interested in exploring other parts of the state. And not limited to state forests, national forests work too.

Hello all! I've enjoyed hiking and camping, including backcountry, as well as getting off the main roads to see the backcountry and camp out for many years as I've moved around the country. So I'd claim advanced novice overland experience. Currently in Pennsylvania and drive a 2013 Jeep...
