    Coyote Works

He did well. I've seen his video. I'll be on the lookout for his future vids. For the sake of learning... I've heard that if you have a fire in the engine bay to pop the hood but do NOT raise it. Just have it popped enough to be able to blast your extinguisher into the engine bay. (obviously...

What in the world is that part on my FJ?

Yep... totally normal. For FJ specific stuff you can always peruse the fjcruiserforums.com .... piles of info there. It's always tough to search something on a forum when you don't know the name of it though....

    WANT vs NEED

    1. - Chainsaw - left at camp. We were driving out of the bush to hit town after a week in the bush. A tree was down on the trail we had been on a number of times with the quads... it was not expected. So I used a little handsaw and snatch block and winched it off the trail. 2. - Shotgun...

Winch powered by Starting or Auxiliary power? What do you recommend?

Starter... but have your aux battery connected to it for more juice at your disposal.

    Recommend me a Bathroom Tent

We went directly to Browning and ordered them... the poles and the rain fly. It didn't seem to take too long to get them.

    Gear for the kids

We just used adult bags but a few years ago we did buy sleeping bag liners. That seemed to be a big hit. I've accumulated a fair number of bags myself too.... so in cold temps I jam 1 bag into another and drastically increase the thermal value of them.

    Recommend me a Bathroom Tent

I've been using the Browning privacy tent for a few years now. Gale force winds destroyed the cross-member fibreglass poles.... we replaced them and the rain fly (pole sliced through it when it broke). We now put it in a spot where there's a bit of relief from the wind. The upright poles are...

    I Want Limb Risers!

Just depends on the trails a person goes on. I'll be putting my limb risers back on shortly as we'll be heading for the woods in a few... My limb risers get used extensively and are definitely worth their weight.... but I don't keep them on when I'm not going to be utilizing them.... kinda...

Single unified communication system for Overland Bound members

The only time I didn't like using CB for comms was when a certain party or parties didn't have their CB tuned properly and/or a partially broken antenna. I was at the FJ Summit recently and we ran into that a lot. I can only assume I would run into the same problem with HAM radios? Or are...

    Canada Regions?

As Steve posted above... the list is good, but I would make the one change with regards to "Central Canada" being switched to "Eastern Canada" as it's more accurate geographically speaking. The Atlantic Provinces: Newfoundland and Labrador Prince Edward Island Nova Scotia New Brunswick...

    Bed liner as Paint

My buddy did his truck with bedliner... it didn't take long for it to look like crap.... peeling, flaking, etc. I agree prep is key... he likely did not prep it well enough. I plan on getting my FJ linex'd (same kinda stuff) at some point but I'll have it professionally done so it stays on the...

FJ Summit and the Colorado fires

I'm optimistic that it will rain enough. If it doesn't... I'll just stay in Moab, lol. I'm driving 3 days to get down there so I don't plan on NOT going.
