    2004 Forester X "The Blueberry"

It's not much, but here's a couple shots of The Blueberry out doing its thing. Found a spot on the side of a road and decided to see how well things work in stock form. I'm very impressed with the capability and confidence of the Forester. This shot doesn't really show the angle of the...

OB Approved Overland Safety: Fire Extinguishers

I agree. Closer is better. I'm planning to place another one in the front that can be grabbed quickly.

    Hello from DFW

Welcome aboard. Also in the DFW area. There are several OHV parks that are within a decent drive (haven't been personally, but I know they're out there and see a lot of good things about them). The area southwest of DFW (around Glen Rose) seems to be a good place to at least explore back roads...

    Water Crossing Photos

I'll play. It's not much, but it is a water/creek crossing. This is somewhere in southwest Oklahoma.

Welcome aboard from (not Panhandle far) North Texas.

    Newbie from North Texas

Welcome aboard! You'll fit right in with the SVO crowd. Several Renegades in there and plenty of ideas (https://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/svo-small-vehicle-overlanding.1682/).

A new chapter in life.. Enter the Wombat.

You've got one good looking rig there, sir. Following. By the way, "Enter the Wombat" totally got my attention.

    Stock 09 Subaru Impreza

Welcome aboard. As has already been stated, take a look at Primitive Racing for some skid plates and ADF (Anderson Design & Fabrication) for a good lift. Other than that, a good set of all-terrain tires and your pretty well set. Aside from those things, I'd encourage you to get out and explore...

    2004 Forester X "The Blueberry"

Read on other forums about how hard it is to replace the bulb for the fog lamps... This has to be one of the easiest bulbs to replace. 1. Move plastic shroud out of the way. 2. Quarter-turn and the back of the housing/seal comes off. 3. Move the retainer that holds the bulb in place. 4...

    2004 Forester X "The Blueberry"

Thanks. The way I see it, we may not need it but we can help another person if/when needed. Learned that firsthand in a situation where we probably could have stopped a fire but didn't have anything equipped to do so.

    SVO ....Small Vehicle Overlanding

Well folks, here's our "new" ride. And we are quite excited about it. Here's the build thread I started (2004 Forester X "The Blueberry"). Feel free to jump over there for the backstory on how we went from a '99 Tahoe to a 2004 Forester.

OB Approved Overland Safety: Fire Extinguishers

I need to look at different mounting brackets, but this works for now. I consider this a must have. If not for myself, then to help some one else.

    1999 Chevy Tahoe

Thanks for asking. Long story short, the engine locked. So, after some thought and discussion we made the decision to let go of the Tahoe. We really like the Tahoe, but it's been slowly sucking finances out since the day we drove it home. It's a fun vehicle and I wouldn't mind owning one...

    2004 Forester X "The Blueberry"

Backstory: After the engine let go in my Tahoe, we decided that (with everything else that would probably need to be addressed) it was not wise to keep dumping money into what was quickly becoming a pit. So we started looking for a "new" vehicle that would be safe, reliable, fuel efficient...
