    Highly Rated Brakes???

I'm considering upgrading to a set of Powerbrakes for the front disks on a heavy 4Runner.

    No more generators in California?

And the nonsense spreads across the country as unrepentant Californians move to another state to escape themselves.

Overland Expo East 2022 "You know what we need to do next year is...."

The west has their drone videos and sweeping music laid on top of epic shots of alpine passes and desert canyons, but the East has a great deal if you look for it. Outfitters like Mill Creek Overland, Apex Overland and Asheville Vehicle Outfitters. Organized trail rides by Asheville Vehicle...

What is the best way to water proof my roof mounted lighting harness?

You could run one of these along the A-pillar or the rear corner: Universal Wire Hider

What Propane Fire Pit do You Recomend?

The rocks sit on top of a grate. If you replaced them with beads, you would need to switch to a finer grate.

    SnoMaster Fridge Needs A Slider

I have a DFG slide made for my Engel 45. It is solid, and does not rattle. I highly recommend DFG. I ordered on 15 July, and received on 31 August. Their "20-30 days to ship" on the website means 30 business days, or 6 weeks. Worth the wait because it is a quality product made to your...

What Propane Fire Pit do You Recomend?

You can crank it up to a ludicrous flame - 3+ feet and burn through almost a pound of propane in an hour. 60K BTU or some such. Or turn it down to a reasonable level for 3-4 hours per pound.

What Propane Fire Pit do You Recomend?

We got a Lavabox - small, high output. Just not a traditional footprint. Shop Propane Fit Pits — LavaBox

What size and where to purchase propane tank?

I use a 6 lb aluminum Worthington purchased through Powertank. Not cheap, but decent capacity in a small footprint with low weight. It fits on a half swing-out, alongside a jerry can mount.

    VA Area Monthly RVA Meetup?

Kinda the same here - I waited until the lift was in place, and then noticed the meetups had paused. Must be frustrating trying to set things up, with those not ready for a trail run, those already committed to something else, those who commit and forget...

    Bald Tires

And wheels larger than the brakes require.

    VA Area Monthly RVA Meetup?

I'm guilty of no-shows. It took me too long to figure out the Rally Point system - I would see postings saying there would be a meetup, time TBD, and never see another posting, only to later realize that you had set it all up as a Rally Point.

    GMRS Mobile radio options

Is that model sold out or coming soon? At Expo East the Midland rep had them on display, but said they may not be out until the end of the year.

It's nice to move that antenna further away from your brain.

    Beginner recovery kit

Hopefully you won't be mired fender deep and relying on human-power and leverage to make such a hard pull, but if that's the concern, get a 10K electric winch, or an extension line and a snatch block to double the 3-ton pull.

The hinges are set different. One is further from the bracket so the arms fold over the other arms. By changing sides, the rear hinge was an extra inch and a half out from the side, which made a big difference with the tailgate.

I just use a military E-Tool. Forget D rings, which can't take side loads like a bow shackle. One bow shackle in the hitch receiver may be all you need in back, but a second isn't a bad idea. Use Van Beest (Green Pin), Crosby, or Columbus McKinnon.
