ARRL Field Day is the end of June, it's the largest ham radio event of the year and I am sure many clubs in CA will be participating. It's a good time to get hands on with putting up antennas and using radios and getting on HF.

Make sure it's mechanically sound and get out there, but use your gray matter and don't exceed your or the vehicle capabilities. Start small and you will figure out what you need or don't need.

Have 33K on some AT3s and they have been great, even with my lack of rotation they show decent wear. Looking at the tread I see no reason I can't get another 15-20K out of them. I live on dirt roads and during muddy season they had no problems.

I would try removing the other accessories, personally I would do them one at a time to see if a particular accessory is causing the issue and if so I would look at that accessory specifically.
The rain could possibly be part of the issue, getting into a loose connection or into a light housing...
