I have 255/80's, 10" wide. Best way to correct speedo is th eTrifecta tune but it's not avalible for the 3rd gen yet. In line speedo correcter should be avaliable soon. Some 3rd gens come with 33's, the dealer may be able to correct speedo but I wouldn't count on it.
Wandering_Scotty, GM never offered 4.10s in the 2nd gen Z71, only 2nd gen with 4.10's was the 4cyl WT, all others have 3.42's. 4.10's are a popular mod, I did my ZR2 the first year I owned it. 4.10's with 33" tires feels close to the OEM 3.42 and 31's.
The 3rd gen AT4 is more than adequate...
The changes in IAT with or without a snorkel vary by model of vehicle and driving conditions. I run anywhere from 8-20^ above OAT's with mine. I run a precleaner and the air filter is still like new after almost 2 years. Many ECU's have a timing/IAT table, retarding timing as intake temps...
Talk to Eric at "The Offroad Shop", on east side, out Foster Rd, (Portland). He did my gears several years ago, in fact he does all my work now that I'm so damn old. He's a avid off roader/camper, does great work at reasonable prices. He can fix you up with the gears and lockers, does a lot of...
I'm looking at the BougeRV 12V 26 qt, it has a 220Whr battery that last for a day or more. Draws 30-45 watts so it would run a long time on even the smaller power stations.
I'm about 50/50, cabin heat and cooking are from LPG. I boil water, use a electric blanket, lighting, charging from a power station with solar charging. New to the power station, I'm learning more and liking it.
Nice job with the DIY. I have watched several YT vids on building these, that was my plan. I ran across a price I couldn't pass on a 600 watt unit, does everything I need, light, compact. I find I get about 50% of solar panel rated spec unless I'm meticulous on placement.
Just to let you know these Softoppers hold up very well. I treat mine with Aero 303 1 or 2 times a year. 5 years of parked outdoors it still appears as new, some very minor scratches in the rear window. I recommend you have some good zipper lube, Best Top has a cleaning kit with 3 products...
Install is tedious, take your time and it fits very nicely. You want the new box the fit very close. I'm going the remove mine and install nut certs and bolts for hold downs, much stronger than the sheet metal screws. I holds all my recovery ropes, spare winch line, soft amd hard shackles...
