Powering your house with your car in an emergency

Jack's a good friend of mine... Steven Harris is a wealth of knowledge, and a crazy bastard :-) Not sure how long you've been listening, but I'm the guy that produced, shot, directed, and edited the PDC for Perma Ethos...

    DIY Roof rack

I you have a 3/16 allen wrench, and a way to cut aluminum, you can build anything you want. Here's my original thread... http://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/diy-no-welding-roof-rack.2421/

Need ARB troubleshooter/fixer in LA area... (fixed)

My compressor won't run. I can't find the problem. I need someone to repair/replace it for me (I'm working all week, and don't have the time to mess with it). I'm in Santa Clarita, CA until Saturday 9/17/16. Any recommendations? I have Ca$h :-)

    Looking for ideas...

Update: Installed rack for canoes, and awning. I built it out of 1.5" Speed-Rail, and it's removeable (6 Allen screws, and the whole thing comes off). One of my goals is not to ruin its usefulness as a utility trailer.

    Overlanding with a Kayak

Two Canoe Deck Boat? I've been kicking around the idea of rigging two 16' canoes together with a 10'x10' deck made of aluminum planks sitting on top, powered by a 5hp outboard. The whole thing (broken down) would fit on a roof rack. Add an canopy, tent, stove, cooler, and a couple camp...

    SOLAR PANELS AND CHARGERS

I have been looking for a reason/excuse to go solar for years, but the numbers, for OverLanding, just don't add up. Hear me out. The average rig puts out about 1200w at idle. So running your engine 5 min is equal to an hour of a 100w solar panel at high noon, with no clouds, trees, or dirt on...

    Looking for ideas...

Update: Dropped the axle under the leaf springs. Lifted it about 4". Taller tires should bring it up level with the Jeep.

    Got Glympse?

Glympse is a free smart phone app that allows you to show someone (or multiple someones) your location and progress, in real time, whether or not they have the app as well. If you both have the app, you can track each other's progress. It's especially handy if you need to rendezvous with...

I saw them too, but the restrictions are constantly increasing. You're probably right. It's fun footage to have. I think I'll bring it.

OTG Barter Blanket? Here's how it works... Everyone brings their Overland related items, that they no longer need, to the OTG Rally. At some point, during the weekend, everyone circles around a "blanket" (it can be a picnic table, or anything). Someone goes first by placing one of their...

    What is your rigs name

I only call my rig a name when it breaks down, but I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to post that here ;-)

    Looking for ideas...

I've got a 5'x10' that I want to use for Overlanding... It would be a "basecamp" trailer. Just a place to carry gear, water, fuel, bicycles, a fat tire mini bike, and maybe a canoe (overhead). I'm going to move the axle under the leaf springs (for clearance), change out the fenders, and put...
