Thank you Steve. I haven't found the limitations of "1st gear" or X-mode yet but I'm sure I will. No substitution for low range. I'll have to inquire about the VIP program sometime but I'm sure you're absolutely smitten with your Yota.
I used to see Gorilla products for the 2015+ but nothing is...
Thank you. I actually have no issues with the NA 4 banger that I have in mine. It has substantially less power than what I'm used to (~160 less hp than the other AWD vehicle in the garage for example) but for what it is it does everything required just fine. Loaded for bear or otherwise. I...
Next up was some great parts from our friends to the north and LP Aventure. First up is a brush guard that's a lot sturdier than most people would imagine. One of the weak points of the Outback off-road is its long nose. The brush guard doesn't help that but I'm not ready to go custom bumper yet...
Next up is my ARB awning. It's not made in the USA but the Foutreks mounts that hold it on the Loadwarrior are. Did I mention my Outback was made in Indiana?..
Tool time compliments of Fourtreks again. Room for 3 or versatile mounting for 2. In keeping with the theme both the #Murderspork and...
At this point the seed was planted and I felt the need to add more air underneath the wagon. Anderson Design and Fab to the rescue. The order from ADF added 2" to the front and 2 3/8" to the rear. I should add that I love powdercoating parts and I also love the color black.
I love everything...
I've been wrenching on things since my father taught me how but in all the vehicles that I've altered I've never started a build thread. I've always been more concerned with getting the installation done and then getting out there to try it out but here it goes..
I purchased my 2015 Outback to...
Agreed on the gravity fed part. I guess the common complaint was how quickly the filter stopped flowing even when great care was taken to add only clear water. By quickly they meant during the first outing with it. As I said I'm interested in hearing your experiences with it.
I'm very interested in hearing how it holds up for you after a few more uses. A good (bad) percentage of Amazon users gave it poor reviews. I was looking into into the 5L Lifestraw but like this as an option as well.
Was already locking up the shovel but you've gotta protect the beaver AND axe.
The shovel is made by https://krazybeavertools.com and I drilled a hole near the end of the handle of my Pulaski to pass the cable lock through.
Oh sure, cause that should be easy haha. I actually shopped for Alphas with the adventure package last night. Nationwide on autotrader.... I think there were 7.
Absolutely! Haha.
We agree completely.
My point was to address the possibility of performance gains. To which I still say if anything they're negligible. I would of loved to hear the temp difference but I agree that not all makers put their intakes in the best location or even have the option of a better one. To their credit they...
Considering the fact that most of the kits use OE air boxes and plumbing I can't see there being any performance gains. The "cold air" aspect is a bit off as well since most modern OE plumbing pulls air from outside the engine compartment anyway. You could actually make a case saying that a...
It definitely looked like a good time. I will have to check out your other videos.
I'll be honest and say that there wasn't anything i saw in the video that I wouldn't try. Admittedly I'm not your average Subaru owner, nor is my Outback your average example with 10" to the lowest point which...
Nice thread. I love that you have this close enough to home to tackle this in the middle of the week.
This would be the first time I've read a comment that places a Subaru, let alone a lifted one, below a crossover in regards to off road ability. I'm this close (envision my thumb and index...
Looks like is something I don't concern myself too much with since we know it's going to look like a Jeep. I am interested in engine/trans options since thats where I feel the current model needed most of the attention.
