I say it all the time but you have to love Prime!
Since I sold my other car threads like yours and others really make me consider a 4Runner. Looking forward to seeing how it progresses.
I originally bought my Outback to be a daily driven second vehicle. I've been a low and fast guy for a long time and wanted something utilitarian to shrug off speed bumps and snow storms all while returning good MPG on 87 octane. While I never purchased it to become an overlanding vessel my eyes...
For me the camping aspect is just an extension of everyday life. It's not a matter of fear that makes me want to carry. It's imagining the feeling that I would have if I were ever in a situation where it could make a difference and I wasn't carrying. Be it the boogy man or boogy bear I'll always...
This is what I'm used to as well. I'm definitely a fan of adding location and I'm also in favor of a sig format. Not saying that we'd have the same issue here but I've certainly seen where sigs can get out of hand as @mbwesner mentioned.
Thank you for the comparison. Considering my needs it was going to be a compressor all the way. Small size, automatic function, performance, and duty cycle were my deciding factors when I purchased my VIAIR 400P. My tires aren't OE sized but are still only 245/65 17's so there are no issues...
I saw that a lot of people were using Scenic Map happily so I purchased the US map bundle. My external gps hasn't arrived yet so I can't comment on using it to navigate but I really like the topo map interface.
I'll tell you what.. if I wasn't married haha.
I know my Outback is at least the 3rd one on here and if I had gotten the vibe that people in this community would look down their nose at me if they met me on a trail I'd have just moved along. I try not to pass judgment on anyone over anything. I...
I was surprised to see the size of it as well. It's 180mb on my iPad and I've never even opened it. I just dumped all of my music to make room for maps and movies and will have to keep an eye on it.
Ahhh the uber sweet gelandewagen. So posh and expensive yet still tough enough for military use. Gotta love it.
Good one. I call them grocery getting pavement queens.
Great thread and well done Luis! I can relate to some of your reasoning and concerns. I know my Outback is larger but compared to most of the vehicles on here it's definitely an oddball haha.
Hello from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. I'm not new to the outdoors but I am to over landing. I'm looking forward to checking out the places I know of like the Pine Barrens and Bald Eagle NP as well as learning about new places and potentially meeting other OB members.
I'm an XD guy and am never in the woods/camping without it. Traveling with it is an issue since Pennsyltucky is nearly surrounded by states that don't honor my CCW. I've never felt tempted to bring a long gun along as well but given the situation I wouldn't be opposed to it.
Looking at your order number this also makes me happy haha. Really looking forward to receiving mine and I'm pretty sure I know where they're going on the Outback.
