    always hunting for abandon highways

Haha. Some parts have been used for a number of things. The State Police used the one tunnel and its offices for barracks and shooting range. The military had looked looked into using the highway for aircraft and tunnels for munitions/storage.

Those are my plans as well. I've never seen a complaint but occasionally venting the cans in my planned configuration won't be the easiest.

    always hunting for abandon highways

Awesome thread! There's an abandoned 13 mile section of the Pa Turnpike that I've always wanted to check out. It includes two separate tunnels. Since it was closed it's been used for TV shows like Life After People and movies like The Road. Here's some pics from The Road and how it really...

Cleaning (and protecting) an emblem on a rig

That's exactly why I would prefer to powder coat it.

Cleaning (and protecting) an emblem on a rig

One of mine is mounted on the back of my wagon and as a result is next to impossible to keep clean when the snow flies. It just started showing salt marks and if I have to remove it to clean it up I'll go right past dip and just powder coat it.

    Quick Fists

My tools are locked to the rack but I still remove them when I get home and they're no longer needed. When I'm on the trail I love that I can easily remove just the tool I want. That's what turned me off of some other options.

Thank you @Maverick9110E! It's been a great wagon. As far as lifting goes you don't need to buy springs (King or RalliTEK) unless you're typically carrying additional weight in the car and you are seeking a higher spring rate. Sumo, LP, ADF, etc.. all lift the same way. They use spacers on top...

    Quick Fists

Haha, nope. This is a thread about Quickfists. Sorry if you felt my posts had anything to do with you personally. There are reasons so many people choose to use them and use them happily. Do you have any idea how many of these things there are out there? Calling them unreliable/unsafe based on...

Really?! I've never... had a shovel... come through my window before... either. My bar is based on real world forces placed on non structural items. Rubber stretches so they work exactly as they were designed. I respect your point of view but in a right condition rollover things are breaking...
