Haha. It's a long trip but it'd be great if you did join us sometime. We don't discriminate against wagons haha.
Yeah I recognized almost immediately that it was going to be worth it in the long run. Should be here tomorrow.
Hahaha. Check out the MtnRoo Mid-Atlantic group on Facebook. That's where everyone is posting pictures. Here's a few that I grabbed.
The last 2 are both 6" lifted 3rd gens.
To be honest I had just got them mounted in the hopes I'd get time to wire them along with the two additional matching lights going there and a 30" curved double row on the rack. Alas I have no time haha. Black Oak is routinely ranked as a top tier brand so I have zero concerns about output. To...
Had a great weekend leading 20+ off road Subaru's around Bald Eagle State Forest. We did 95 miles of forest road/trails on Saturday alone. It was a good opportunity to give some new items a good shakedown and I mean that literally because Bald Eagle is as rocky as they come. Here's how my car...
Haha. Well my plans have always been to to do an in-skin rear bumper with a swingout and hitch. In the meantime I also considered rigging my spare to sit vertical against the side in the back. Like you see in a lot of SUV's.
Thank for confirming one of my concerns with the bag in the basket. It's been fine in the back of the car but they're noisy, in the way, and lets be honest here...Subaru. Hahaha.
Thank you! All of the cans are brandy new so I have zero experience with them. I'll probably run one gas and one water can this weekend to try them out but to my knowledge there are zero issues running them flat. I searched a lot before pulling the trigger on them a couple months ago because it...
As much as I like the BROG bag for my Traction Jacks I've always wanted them on the roof. I know you can 'mount' the bag up there but it's really not a great setup for a busy basket. Pretty happy with how it turned out. VERY little wasted space.
I don't fault you at all because I feel the same way. I just had an exchange with LP and they informed me that they will in fact be making one for your Forester. I love mine and I'm sure you will as well if thats the route you take.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they end up making one. For the vehicles they currently make it for they started with the current gen and have been working back. I assume you're not a fan of the Primitive option?
Welcome Geoff! I don't have any experience with Subtle but I would recommend looking into ADF for your lifting needs and I'd highly recommend looking into Black Oak for your lighting needs. They're routinely rated top tier and they still charge less than Rigid or BD.
It's not from Fourtreks, only what's holding it in place is. It's a modified 10lb bottle holder from Powertank. I obviously had the same issue finding a solution and discovered that their 10lb bottle has the same diameter as that 5lb bottle. From there it was easy.
Without modification and plenty of cutting I'm going to say no. That particular superwinch has been absolutely abused by @grantwilson on his recently sold and heavier than an XV Outback. I never heard of an issue from him or anyone else who runs it.
Thank you. There's a plate with uprights that pass through the cans.
I have extensions to be able to secure more than one can. Everything threads into each other and then you tighten the top handle down to secure the cans in place.
Lastly I use the LOX mounts as a theft deterrent instead...
