Fair enough. I'll have to see how every thing ends up packed in the bed after i get the bed rack on. Most of the stuff should be fine if i just lock the tailgate.
Very nice build. Question for you and the other full size guys. What do you do to keep your gear from walking off in the bed? Ex: when going hiking or stopping in town for a nice meal. I'm thinking of linking some cable together around my bed rack with a lock so the bins and bags cant be...
Thanks for starting this thread. My wife and I have a 4 month old daughter. We are doubling down on the idea of overlanding specifically so she will experience as much of the world and camping as we can provide.
I have no tips or suggestions yet. Im here to get all of yours for now. We have a...
This forum is a fantastic place to learn and meet people. It is not 100% true on all the other forums.
That said I find there is much more good in this community than bad. Unfortunately i ran into a group at an event last year that was part of the trend. It was a packed event that was very...
Damn! That would be a nice setup. I didn't realize back when i posted that it was a sale price on the fuel pax. I just cant justify the cost for these. At least not this year, maybe down the line.
Really good to know that it would work though. I think that will be what i end up doing in the...
The V8 made it a good choice to start. Having the lockers from factory is a no brainier.
It is very odd they used the I5 with oversized gears. GM had a great I6 platform already in place that would have made better sense. Anyway, great rig.
I really enjoyed reading your build thread. The H3 Alpha is an awesome rig. I never knew they existed. Always saw the I 5 H3 mall rigs. Look forward to seeing where the build goes next.
I would like to end up with a set of 4 eventually. Of course, I have to be able to afford 2 to start.....
My main reason for wanting 4 is to use them stacked as a ramp or for leveling at camp.
We love camping with our dogs.
First is Apache a Shiba/German Shepherd mix. Next is Sully a Newfoundland/Border collie mix, unfortunately we had to say goodbye to him last week.
You can add all the bumpers and sliders you want before you do a lift. One thing you will want to consider is waiting on tires. If you get tires now then you'll want larger ones with the lift.
Adding a heavy front bumper will drop your front down a bit. Mine went down a half inch. That isn't...
Current: 2012 Ford F150 Fx4. I love this truck. Its just a bit too big for some of the riding we wish to do.
Next/Dream: Tacoma or 4Runner, Dream is a Land Cruiser.
