I also like to take it a little more leisurely. I would probably break the trek up to a couple weekends. Do a bit then spend 2 nights in camp relaxing.

It does seem that way. My wife and I always liked camping. However we are doubling down on overlanding BECAUSE we have a child. I want her to experience the world any way she can. This is the best way for us to give her that.

That's a neat product. If I ever decide I want a jet boil I would probably get this instead. I hate having to carry and purchase fuel canisters.

We just picked up a CVT Mt. Rainier today. For us it was the ease of setup and the pice of mind to be away from critters . We have a big Agnes flying diamond 8 for a base camp trips. Love that tent but a pain to set up. This summer we will be driving from NJ to MT. With many stops in-between...
