    Canada Regions?

So based on the input to date, maybe we could say: Maritimes Eastern Canada Prairies Western Canada NWT/Nunavut/YK (or "Northern Territories" as suggested) Obvious overlap with Maritimes being able to fall into Eastern Canada as well, but it gives them a bit of an individual identify. Same...

    Canada Regions?

I like the categories and grouping provinces together into areas. That way we get a larger group. Being in Alberta I probably wouldn't be checking the "sask" thread, but I'd watch the "prairies" thread and chat with more people.

    Canada Regions?

As a Winnipeger, trapped in the middle, would you say Manitobans most identify with western Canada, or eastern? Just curious.

Heh heh, I assumed as much, although I had silently hoped that it was a creative way to store a hitch hiker.

    Nite ize equipment

For securing loads with a rope I find a quick knot is better. Or use bungee straps. If it's a bigger load a ratchet strap works best for me.

    Nite ize equipment

I only use them for very very small loads. My tonneau cover raises on gas shocks, so if I have a load that sticks out of the top of the bed I'll tie the cover down using these. For example I carted around my summer tires and rims with one tire sticking out of the top of my truck cover few...

    Nite ize equipment

I carry a half dozen of that last carabiner in the photos for tying things down in my truck while driving. They work fairly well, but I've had them slip before. Very handy around the campsite.

    Favorite Trail Meals

I've never carried a fridge. Never had much use for one. I start with most everything Pre-frozen in a cooler and eat what thaws out first. Works for me for about 4 days as a rule. Past that I have to find some ice. I try to be low maintenance. Breakfast is cold cereal or oatmeal. Staying low...

stanley mission feb now turned into banff 2nd of march!!

I find that Northern communities in Canada like Stanley Mission are pretty friendly and welcoming. Anyone coming in will be met with curious looks, but they're just people living their day just like anyone else. I wouldn't be too concerned traveling there. Having said that, if you're...

    Garmin glo opinions?

I'm an Apple guy, but I use the Gamin GLO with my cell & tablet. It connected to both right away & I can use it with any app. I would recommend it.

    Preparations Ongoing

Just curious. Do you use a left handed drill bit? I find that with a broken bolt, 9 times out of ten the remaining bolt comes out if I use them. Saves tapping at least.
