Adding Aux Fuel Tank - What should I do?

Tank underneath sounds like a cunnning plan to me. I'd suggest wiring a timing relay on the pump. What seems to happen is that people turn the transfer pump on and forget it. Running the pump dry and wrecking the pump.

2013 Tundra "Clifford" Build & Adventures

Headed out for a day cruise to the Limestone Mt. Area in Southern Alberta with my parents, and an Aunt. Together they're pushing 240 years of experience. :-0 Saw some wild ponies in the area. 2 different herds, and a VERY new born. Cute little guy could barely stand on his own. Was making...

What is your favorite overlanding movie, video, book, story, or inspiration?

Lol. It is a good read. I got a kick out of his stories of how hard he struggled with the trails/roads out of California. The roads were rough and steep. His 3 speed 12hp bike struggled and he had to push a fair bit.

What is your favorite overlanding movie, video, book, story, or inspiration?

"In Clancy's Boots" is a good story. In 1912 Carl Clancy began an around the world journey on a motorcycle. This book relives that journey in modern times and compares the 2 narratives.

Tacoma v. Colorado ZR2 (Or the battle between Gas and Diesel)

I had a 12 valve cummins diesel in a '96 dodge 3/4 ton for years. My biggest complaint about it was that it was 2wd. Never buy a 2wd diesel. The engine was so heavy that I'd get stuck in soft gravel if I stopped. Awesome for towing, but terrible in the winter. I got really good at putting my...

Tacoma v. Colorado ZR2 (Or the battle between Gas and Diesel)

I personally, would love a diesel. I wish we had more diesels in North America. But... my thoughts would wonder about longevity, and support. Longevity: new engines come and go. Is this a new engine? Is it proven? In 5 years can a person get support for it? Support: I know that if you...

    Receiver winch vs front mount

About the only issue I could imagine (not having ever used one) is pulling at an angle. Any time I'm winching it's never a straight ahead pull. It's almost always a tree off to the side of a trail. So I would think that using the receiver type would be a weakness. Having said that, if it's...

    Overland Lift

I have a 2013 Tundra and went with a 2" ome lift with heavy springs in the front and Dakar leafs in the back. Works great for me on rough roads and such. I've driven it out to Moab a couple times. Once solo and once loaded with dirt bikes and a trailer. I'm very happy with the ride and how it...

2013 Tundra "Clifford" Build & Adventures

I toured the Hoadley, AB area a little today. Checking out roads and trails around the Medicine Lake public grazing land, then over to Rose Creek recreational trails. Lovely day for a Sunday drive.

    Broken in Moab

Just food for thought... it's a lot cheaper to ship a transmission to you than vice versa. Plus after you ship the truck home you buy the transmission anyway.

    Broken in Moab

Oh, and let us know how it worked out or in 3 or 4 days we'll be wondering if you're still out there curled under a cactus with a burrow for warmth.

    Broken in Moab

Listen and feel if there is any slippage in any gear. That will feel like A little more Reving with less motion or pickup. If it's not slipping I'd try it too. White Rim isn't overly technical. Just take it easy.

Are you running it alone, or with someone? As in another vehicle.
