    In my ever so humble opinion, I will say the 292 is by far the best I6 ever made with the Ford 300 a fairly close second. I swapped a 292/sm465/205 into a '98 Jeep Cherokee . You about had to reach into the back seat to shift

    Not if it is driven right and has carb made for off roading. Like the Holley truck avenger or if you're as old as I am, you can modify almost any carb to work well off road.

    My '01 K2500 8.1 Suburban 220,000 miles on it now. It's just me and my dog when we head out for photography trips. I like not having to pull a trailer or have to mess with a tent on the roof or on the ground.

    What one thing that is a must have for you that most folks probably wouldn't think to bring? For me it is my Vitamix blender because I can no longer swallow food so I have to juice or puree everything I eat. It is a major PITA but I'm alive to complain about it, so it's a good trade off

    T Those plugs are reachable from the wheel well. I just pull the front tires and go at it.

    I finished the replacement for the factory tow hooks. I made them from 3"x 3"x .250 wall square tubing, some .250 plate, and weld on shackles.
