Started this thread so long ago we got new overland rides....
For those less off-road trips a 12' countryman all4, don't judge the little mini, more capable in the snow and mud than you would think, only limited by clearance.
13' f150. 5.0 the new overland rig in process.

Yes... Just looked at A.R.E., Wow, 2k plus for the overland series. Think i will go back to tent options, Im too tall to sleep in bed of truck with tailgate up anyway.....damn cool cap though.
I like the cap options, I see they have come along way, seems now days you can basically build to your own spec for lights, storage, Ect. would hate to see what that would cost me specced out for overlanding...
13' supercrew f150 with short bed.
Can fit a amazing amount of gear in back of these supercrews without even using bed, that being said there are trips and other things such as tailgating that using the bed is a necessity. We also haul kayaks around that are about 4 feet longer than truck bed so...
Got a 13' f150, going to put some AT's on in fall (Yes a ways off to research) believe that the 16' fords with FX4 package are running the Hankook Dynapro AT-M's.
Ran Genneral Grabber AT2's on jeep but might want to go to a (LT) matrix for truck???...
Thoughts on Hankooks and or going from P...
Started a similar journey with a 01' about 18 months ago, it's actually what led me to this community. I unfortunatly had to change my plans for various reasons but glad to see others saw the potential in the platform, carry on and I will look forward to watching the progress.
Guess I should...
Joined the forum when there was litteraly a welcome from Michael and a test post. Where you guys have come in the last year is amazing, if someone does not like the direction the movement is headed then they are free to find community and content elsewhere, no loss.
Keep it up, keep quality...
36 married, no curtain crawlers...yet.
Spent better part of last 20 years working on lake Monroe in Bloomington. Well acquainted with the Charles Deam wilderness which is the only wilderness area in the Hoosier state, unfortunately. There are miles of overgrown two track, problem is the powers...
I am a Hoosier as well, that being said I thought everyone had a pump 12 in the closet.....Just personal opinion but a 12 gauge is almost a necessary tool in the Midwest..
Sold it.. Just moved and needed to condense the fleet, therefore I needed a truck that would handle the boat and kayaks as well as camp duties. Picked up a 2013 f150 which is not the most trail rated vehicle in stock trim but for the Midwest it should do just fine. Not allot of trail here...
Seems like allot of content is gone? I'm I just not seeing or has some of the early OB post and topics not made the new forum? Just curious, new format looks great.

I have used the rhino rack "X-tray" on both a mini countryman and XJ Cherokee mostly for the purpose of hauling kayaks. Fairly cheap and no complaints. Comes in small and large.
Truck is looking nice.
Had new front shock upgrade and rear coil overs installed. No pics as I was working while it was on lift, would have done myself but when you work at a shop labor is cheap and free time is rare. Pics would not have been that great anyway no cool lifts or anything, but the ride and weight...
