I know there has to be a bunch of us so I’d love to see what my fellow OB members are doing with their Colorados and Canyons. Let’s see pictures, hear plans, and share links to build threads!
For me it was only a matter of time before I bought one since both my brother and father in law had...
Congrats on your ZR2 Chris! I found the Colorado to be the most spacious, which I needed at 6’01” plus two car seats in the back. Took my Bison for a 2600 mile drive in June and comfort was never an issue for any of the occupants.
The ZR2/Bison, like the Power Wagon, is more ‘softly’ sprung than its counterparts. I’ve actually upped the front and rear spring rate to compensate for additional weight as well as changed the front UCA’s to increase usable wheel travel but I know what you’re saying. When that day comes I’m...
I use the L track rails on top for a variety of things. Love the versatility of it. I also generally only use dividers but I do use 1 box for tools. Just added this the other day @madcratebuilder.
Looking good @TheBison! I agree the stock tires are way too small for this truck. Apparently GM does too since it looks like the new ZR2 comes with ‘Jeep 33s’. I debated on that size but settled on 255/80s. If I trim it’s going to be for 35s haha.
I disagree. I consider TFL uninformed clickbait garbage but to each their own. Worst yet is the algorithm that, for some reason, constantly jams their content in front of me haha.
This was my old Subaru Outback. Depending on the speed I was able to range from 21 to nearly 25 looking just like...
Check it now @jwright. Gaia is a user driven app (I changed the description) so what you saw was someone’s impression of it, not something official. I’ve always driven it east to west because I prefer going up the rocky section but there’s no reason you can’t run it both ways.
No problem @jwright! That is proper etiquette but sometimes conditions dictate a different approach. It’s a lot easier for you to pull over going up vs one or both of them potentially having to back up the hill to find a spot for their vehicles. I’d say use common sense but that’s about as...
This is definitely more of a general truck issue. I pulled mine out from under my Bison almost immediately and mounted it to the bed for a hot minute, then the decked drawers, and now it’s on my bed rack where it’s staying. I don’t like any of the potential issues of having the spare under...
@Project_Overlanding I never ran them but I know people who have and they all liked them. I ran a similar tire that beat the Falkens to the market by ~5 years on my Outback. The Yoko Geolandar G015 is a light AT tire that I took everywhere in every condition. Both the G015 and the AT Trail may...
Will do @Johnmosessa. Unfortunately it involves drilling 12 holes in the roof but hey.. it is what it is.
Just subscribed to your channel and watched another video btw. Good stuff man.
Loved the video @Johnmosessa! It definitely checked all the boxes haha. I have a Prinsu for my Bison waiting in its box. Not nearly as simple of an install but I can’t wait to get it on the truck.
Haha I bet! I know where Wexford is but I know where Dallas, Pa is as well.
Hope you enjoy DFW and the rest of Texas. I have family/friends in that monstrous state and I know I enjoy it whenever I get there.
