Thanks @DevilDodge, my son and i left Wednesday am, ended up in Tioga SF for two nights. Then found a new site that we moved to on Friday, more scenic and open than most site's in the area that was just outside Tioga. Eagle nesting on the ridge and saw her fly a few times over the next two days...

It's been awhile, iirc it was closed for some time? I actually have camped just off the southern part at Gamble Run as it's trailer permittable. I'm looking to get back out there soon, i'll have to run it again and keep an eye out.

Used to camp at the clearing on Bear Run, they logged it, now it's full of weeds and dump piles. We used to drop grass seed up on the rise there.. would fit plenty of rigs for our larger get togethers.

Take a look at the legend on back of that map, it ID's motorized, paddle/peddle, and primitive campsite's. I have been camping in the area for years, not much there for primitive motorized anymore.. that i'v found or been turned onto by the area Rangers. I'd like to find a nice waterfront site...

I only use the CB for running in a group, not trying to communicate beyond line of sight typically. Honestly, i probably would not have one these days if not for the weather channel.

Typically yes, i was unsure how it's been lately with the virus. So i imagine no restrictions on the overnight permits since their so spread out, have they cut day use permits at all? Wondering what my chances would be to pop in and ask about openings in the few days i'd be in the area this...

How full did the campsites seem? Heavy traffic?
