The G80 is an Eaton automatic limited slip. When it detects a difference of 120 rpm the "dog legs" engage. Now you have a clutch type limited slip. Otherwise you have all the benefits of an open diff.
Other names for this are MLocker and Governor lock. I believe they started using the G80...
Interesting how I could separate what was said. Guess you need to go to wherever you learned that and restudy it. Get over yourself. You didn't like what he said about another group. So what.
Sooo How exactly was my statement talking down? I simply stated, they have issues with their site and dont seem to prioritize membership.
I think you need to rethink your statement. I'm glad you got something from expo considering I was a big contributor. Its possible you learned something from...
Huh..interesting. A few years ago, they did something at the site and I was getting weird "You need to allow cookies" error. Three weeks ago I made a new account and have been waiting for approval ever since. When I go there it tells me my account is on hold until authorized. I did notice how...
I build mine using as much travel as possible. I could design and build anything and my last two are solid axle leaf. I did this because of ease of repair. In my opinion only one of the independents work properly. My leaf's are about 45" long, KYB gas shock about 8-10 inch of travel and air bags...
The shock angle you have is close enough. If your spring rate is moderately close, look into adding poly bags inside the coils. Ive been running them for years in my cruiser without issue.
So your saying Off Grid trailers uses a specific battery, one only off grid trailer uses?
I get that its "a brand specific" forum. Considering this type of stuff is what I've done for a living for several decades, I felt I could add something. Sorry for trying to help. I will stay out of this...
To know if this is a problem or not, you need more information.
What are the AH ratings of the batteries. How much power does everything draw.
The inverter will draw just doing nothing. 110 coffee makers draw a huge amount of power. Fridge power draw is based on size, brand and outside temp...
This is how I've always wired them. I'm wired to my second battery which also powers my fridge....ect. I don't run a deep cycle battery. My alternator is joined by a 250 amp solenoid with the alternator putting out 150 at idle. Most alternators put out very little at idle and with the average...
Option 3 is your best bet. Option 2 looks like a pile of crap (photo).
If you want a box type trailer. Find a not too old utility trailer. You can get creative with Unistrut or something equivalent, build your own rack and bolt it in.
If your trailer doesn't come with brakes, eventually upgrade...
Trailer tires are designed for load bearing. The sidewalls are tougher then passenger rated tires (P) but similar to light truck tires (LT). Running trailer tires in the dirt isn't bad, they hold up much better then passenger tires. An issue people run into is not all tires are the same. You...
I recommend you run an all terrain off road tire. doesn't matter who. The off road tire will get you the stronger sidewall you need and the load rating should be higher then you need.
The tires I currently run are Falcon Wildpeak and BFG KO2.
In my area, I have predominantly granite and various...
While the comment on the bearings is true, what was not said is, the taller the tire the more leverage on the bearing. The heavier the tire the more load. This equates to faster bearing wear. The bearings and spindles on those trailers are small. Dirt roads add more stress then paved.
The...
