Hi Folks,
Picked up two issues;
After you've selected a rally point it looks like you can't click on "read more" to get to the description (Screenshot_20200915-133519_Overland Bound One).
On Map-RPS, I am also getting an error "Unable to get rally point locations"...
Welcome to Overland bound Amer! Please give me a shout if you have any questions or need help with anything.
Give us some shots of the hilux in the Rig photos thread!
Not a snake fan and I've had many close encounters with them in camp but I've never needed to kill one. Statistically you have a better chance of being struck by lightning that dying from a snake bite. If you're still worried maybe consider a snake awareness, first aid and handling course as an...
I'd say it depends where you're going, especially international overlanding and the situation. If you're in the middle of the Central Kalahari (Botswana) at Bape camp, the nearest reserve gate (with some form of comms) is 7h away. The nearest hospital is Scottish Livingston in Molepolole, at...

Hi Brooke, Welcome to OB!
There are some forum members in those countries (you can have a look on the map) and maybe post in the East Africa section as well.
Feel free to give me a shout if you need help with anything OB Africa related!
The link you mention there is actually for Droëwors (dried sausage). The South African version of Jerky is called "Biltong", here's a good recipe :wink:
This very local (and you'll find it some places in Aus) but I can not go without "Braai spice"! We braai (BBQ) a lot (lamb chops, boere wors (spicey sausage), steak, sosaties (kebabs) etc). Braai spice goes on everything!
The recipe;
1 tot salt (I like to use high-quality coarse salt and...
