Looking into this guys - but regardless, this is about to go away with the sites migration to AWS (~3weeks). I'll see what I can do in the meantime.
Thank you for your patience!

You should only have one subscription and expedition provides everything included in Adventure. Was adventure purchased on web? Pm me so I can take care of this for you.
Well shut my mouth, that’s a really good idea. Now ya got me thinking. We’ll pursue thus with the Expo crew. Might be too late this year, but definitely next year.
Nope - this is because you are on the Rally Point Map tab - so the "+" is contextual. Go to the plan tab and you should see the add location option. Still working on streamlining UI - that can be confusing.
As an additional resource spot-check the Overland Bound app since locations are continually added.
If you have it installed this will open the map in your area:
39.9527, -75.1635

Don’t want to hijack thread but which link didn’t work correctly? Mind sending in a PM? I’ll see if we can handle it better. Are you in the OB1 app? Thanks.
Exactly - this is the way.
Unfortunately data loss is not an isolated incident among navigation/offroad apps - its something that needs to be taken very seriously to get it right.
I felt the same way, and we have tried to make OB1 as user friendly as possible however, I've found that the "deeper" features are not as evident as I would like. For example, if you don't know to long-press the OB1 map, you are missing aa whole host of features that make the app really handy...
We are working heavily on data backup, security, and exchange for OB1. We feel the data collected is akin to paper maps where you used to highlight and write in them - which were then passed down to the next generation. It is a legacy of adventure. Many of our friends have lost years of digital...
Wow - internet access - fantastic question.
I would love your feedback on the walking dude - here is the way that is actually done:
Directions are optimized, and derived using a routing network, made up of "ways" that have attributes associate with them, like travel speed limit, has bike...
Posting a preview of OB1 route planning here. This shows:
- Street planning
- Switching to secondary road planning (the walking dude) to tell route planning to consider unimproved roads while routing
- Switching to “as the crow flies” so you can route if/when there are no roads and then going...
Hey all - yes! We are cramming on OB1 (Overland Bound One) to address key needs and concerns of our community - that's the goal! It is coming along quickly. We constantly improve the features, and add additional functionality. Coming in the next few weeks is Route Planning. We are putting it...
