This. Explains why most of us have an air compressor in their rig to air up after deflating for the trail. I run 42 on the street and 20 on the trail on my 285/75-16 Duratracs. Using the ARB CKMTA12 air compressor I can air up the tires faster than the Staun deflators can take the air out.
Yeah, I run about 40 on the streets and about 10 on the trail, depending on the trail. I used a PowerTank though which is definitely fast.

Oh dang! I know what that means!
Maybe...

Yea, I've been hinting around for a couple of weeks, and already have the new sticky backing for the badge to put on the new vehicle (thanks @Corrie.) I didn't notice the wear in the center. I know some had these from the earliest batches during shipping, but you don't really notice it in person.

After our cross-country trip last fall, and again after our Florida trip last month, we decided we'd like:
- A little more room
- A little more capable off road (The Outback is fine most of the time, but the manual and turbo don't have much low speed torque.)
- A little more towing capacity in case we get a small camper trailer of some sort.
- And an automatic transmission, so I don't have drive all day on our way to and from wherever we're going.

I just haven't let the cat out of the bag on exactly what I'm getting yet. It was supposedly on its way across the ocean four weeks ago when I made the deal though our local Costco participating dealer. But after two weeks, I called and checked the status and it had only been built three days prior (March 15) and wasn't scheduled ship out until a few days later (March 22.)

So while it was supposed arrive at my dealer by mid April, I don't expect it now until late April or early May. Meanwhile, I've already got a pile of upgrade parts and accessories in the garage waiting for it to get here! And I already have a new build thread ready to copy/paste here on the forum. :grinning:

Not with my rig, but it will be transported in the rig... 22" partner stove with stand and plate. I was really amazed at the weight of this thing. The stand will ride with the camp chairs on the rack fore section along with the 5lb propane tank. Also have a blue ridge overland gear stove bag and tool bag coming in the mail. Going to be a great year camping and exploring. Have several trips planned.

Started out this morning testing an alternator I bought as a spare. failed miserably so ill get a refund from the seller.
Then went to Wal-Mart and got 2 5qt jugs of Mobil 1 full synthetic oil. Proceeded to the mechanics garage and did an oil change. with a new D3 OEM Toyota filter, and 8 qts. of Joy juice.

Lubed the heck out of all zerks I could find. sprayed penetrating oil all over the xfer case linkages and levers. arranged to have the ebrake adjusted properly. wont hold vehicle now. Blew out the air filter.
Baby was smiling all the way home.

Tore Apart the front end after a day of wheeling on a CV with a torn boot.

Broke a Wheel Stud :(

Deleted the Sway Bar :)

Smashed my finger :(

Failed to remove the CV :(

Also, I'm not sure what's going on.... When I went to hidden falls, my steering wheel was aligned correctly. Now that I've wheeled for a day and driven home. I have to hold the wheel about 12 degrees right for the truck to go straight.

The Tie Rods don't feel like they have any side to side play, and the lock nuts are tight. I dunno what else could cause this.

I figured out how to get my CV shaft out without buying a $70 inner CV slide hammer.

Swung the axle shaft like a pendulum and it pulled it right out.

@Lars, steering wheel off-center has happened to me after a hard day of wheeling. Take a good look at your steering rack position and condition, and then get an alignment check. Probably before you drive it much more.

Today I got a tear in the rear seat of the Outback repaired. You'd never know it was there now. Well worth the $75 to get it fixed to help maintain the value when I sell it.
