Picked up my 4l80e at the junkyard yesterday. It's as you'd expect. Greasy and in need of a rebuild but I have a good solid base to start with.

Did you crop the photo? I have seen glare like this before if you have a REALLY bright light hit the lens. If you look at filtered photos of cars with lightbars on you will see the same thing... Check out this photo of Dave (Maxterra also on here...)

You will see something similar from his light bar on the bumper making the green dots. I just can not find your source unless it is the sun itself.

Oh, I also finished my wind deflector.... OLB representing in Utah now. Oddly I had 2 guys honk and wave while out getting groceries just now. Still looking forward to a weekend with good weather to install the new leaf pack. We got 4" of snow, but it is now nearly 50 outside and it is melting FAST, have a bad feeling a few guys from work are going to call about flooding soon.

I drove the truck for the first time since 1/23/2017! Still not ready to just jump in an out, but the medical boot and my regular boot have just enough room to not get in the way of each other. Just as I was getting my crutches in the back seat, the church across the street had their Palm Sunday procession around the block. I thought they were praying for me at first!

got my auxiliary reverse lights installed. Really like these things... planning on using them for most of my exterior lighting now too. Figured id chuck em as reverse lights to test them out first but DAMN these things are bright. they have a high & low mode so they SHOULD be good for work/aux lighting but we'll see. so far i like what I see.

Even though you can raise the vehicle further than before you're still limiting yourself with those new dampers due to reduced droop which also limits articulation.
Having more height is good but articulation is what you really want and to reduce that is taking a step backwards.

That was kind of my thought but if the proof is in the pudding then the pudding is good. Any one who has done the lift I originally did with the spacers can tell you about the CLUNK that one gets in tbe upper control arm. With this set up that is all gone and I still gained half an inch of clearance. Still say that there is still some sort of black magic going on but it has been a diffident improvement. [emoji106]

Well no you are not that far off.nthe new set does not use tne spacers. If you look at it, the shocks are about the same lenght.

I use the little 1.25" foam brushes to apply most of it. Cleanup and prep takes the most time.

Once I use the converter I will go back over it with the rubberized coating. It can be very time consuming. I may need to pull my sliders off to get them fixed properly.
