New Member in Hampton Roads. Looking to get some group activity going.
Would like to get involved in this hobby.
Appreciate the add…

Hey bud, your best bet if you have Facebook, is join the groups 757 Overland/Off Road, 757 4X4, Central Virginia Overland & Central Virginia Off-road. (might have missed some). There's nothing to do in regards to trails or dispersed camping east of Richmond. Everything worh while is either north or west. Corolla Beach/Salvo North Carolina offer beach driving with rules/regulations and passes required. Further south towards Hatteras and Ocracoke there's beachside camping.

Well after a year of not having time to get out and everyone's suggestion to hit up Reddish Knob in the posts back in March of last year on here. I'm finally going out tomorrow. I plan on trying to camp in Hone Quarry tomorrow and will take the dirt road up to the mountain top since I still only have a stock Subaru Outback and no one with me in case I get into trouble. But at least it's a start. It'll be the first time I've really had my Outback in the mountains since getting it last year so stoked would be an understatement. Hopefully I can get together with some people from here sometime. If anyone lives near the Harrisonburg/Staunton/Waynesboro area hit me up and we can try to plan a meetup or something sometime. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

You’ll enjoy yourself. Explore everything you can, just don’t do things that’ll break your ride. Take it slow, and tread lightly. Reddish knob is at the very top and worth the drive for the 360 view of Virginia and West Virginia and it’s paved. Know your limits and stay within them.
