We then began bending the first leg of the bracket by the brake booster aiming to use two holes that are already in the engine bay keeping in mind the final placement of the box.

Next we had to clearance the hols for the power wires to come through the box.

After that we bent the second leg and got it ready to be welded on!
16681653_1397208447017919_687456718398907732_n.jpg

And here it is welded on
16832202_1397208440351253_3376246381599240462_n.jpg

Here it is ready for paint!
16864051_1397208377017926_2292987174678338101_n.jpg
And finally painted.

And here is the final placement of the box! Now mine is a NON ABS Cherokee which is the only reason why I can put it here. The bracket is plenty strong enough to support the weight of the fuse box. Next up is the wire everything up! Stay tuned!

Finally began work on my custom roof rack. It is made to hold a roof top tent and have a small amount of storage in the front. I'm using 1.5 inch square tubing which although harder to use than round tube I believe the end result will be worth it! The hardest part by far was figuring out the corners and how to bend them sharp and as round looking as possible. Enjoy and if anyone has any questions at all please ask!

These are TEST corners...

Final corner design inside our homemade corner jig!

Here it is welded up and almost grinded all the way. the two 1.5 inch bars are spaced out to hold the tent evenly. I am adding smaller 1 inch bars in the front to hold things.

Finally got the rack to a point where it can be put on the jeep! added the center sections and finished the mounts (included cutting the outer 4 off and moving them out for a better look). I love the design and I plan on added flooring of some kind to just the front half since the back half will be used by a RTT at some point!

haha thanks! I'm in the process of selecting lights that'll really take the rack to the next level! I am also going to select what type of flooring material i want to use for the front! then I'm going to brush on some thicker paint so it is more durable. But we should meet up sometime! I'd love to see your rig!

Well, Hermitage, PA isn't very far from me! We should meet up some time! You're like 5.5hrs away. If you come this way we have the Hoosier National Forest with some light forest roads and then we also have the Badlands Off Road Park, too. What you guys have out that way? (If I come that way sometime i'd have to bring wife and kids haha)

I've heard about Badlands before! and around us honestly there isn't too much. If you east of us about 2 hours there is Allegheny National Forest which has a lot of back roads like that and the off road park nearest us is Southington and to be honest it is much more suited for rock crawling rigs. I definitely would not be opposed to head your way and explore Indiana!

Well I'm in college until the beginning of May so probably around then? I also do tax returns so that is my life until April 15th lol (and yes I know how boring that sounds haha) What works best for you and your family? Also here is a picture of the rack outside in the light! (sorry I'm excited about it haha)

I am actually on black out (No time off) until July 1st. I can do a Saturday night and Sunday almost any time though. In the off season (After July 1) I can do any time as long as I give work a couple weeks notice. I work for John Deere so spring time is busy.

Ok after tax season we'll have to pick a weekend and make it happen! I just got off the phone with Corey at JCR and ordered that brace from them for my Durango swap. Thanks for the reference he was a nice guy!

Finished my latest project of mounting switches in my factory style overhead console. I thought it was a neat and clean way to get 8 auxiliary switches in the cabin in a low key (not in your face kind of way) I also have labels coming for them as well.As always.. ask any questions you may have!17796491_1453565704715526_6001019577272334507_n.jpg 17759750_1453565631382200_155513089072757851_n.jpg 17634807_1453565624715534_2844034761070379150_n.jpg 17757410_1453565634715533_162096559669646968_n.jpg 17760055_1453565531382210_6032522402403611599_n.jpg

Took the Jeep put to a local off-road park called Southington Off-Road Park and blew a U-Joint while doing a rocky hill climb. It took a minute to find where I had blown the joint but once I found it I knew it had to be replaced sooner than later. Decided to go with the beefiest U-Joints I could find so I ended up with some greasable MOOG joints. I also decided to sand and paint every piece of my front end.
