Hey All,

I remember reading it somewhere but for the life of me cant seem to find the post / details,

When you join as an OB member, I'm sure I saw somewhere you would be able to download the emblem as a digital image with your OB# number on the front, much like the actual metal emblem,

Anyone able to point me in the right direction :)
or have I just made that idea up lol

It's simply so you can use it as a image on an email or post ect - spreads the word more if you are able to put it on your own website ect

Lol ah right, it's possible it may have been a post on a different forum i may have seen it, oh well

But yes it would just be a thing of getting it to generate, that one I simply did in photoshop but I'm sure there is a few coders in here who may have some thoughts (Unfortunatly my coding skills are more towards networking than CSS) lol

Hehe oh right,

Well I can say I'm not a master of photoshop but know my way round enough when I'm editing my own stuff and creating labels / logos (use light room for my photography stuff)

Well if u wanted one (or both) i could put the two together tomorrow (as it's 00:15am GMT)

I've seen some amazing enthusiasm on this site but would only like to throw my two cents in - which in this economy isn't worth even that. Just saying that @Michael should be the one that things like this - or anything with the OB logo or something similar - is placed on. It was he and @Corrie that have worked hard to make this site so successful and should be the stewards of the logo and how/where/when it appears and how it is used - not only for integrity but profit - I know it is a labor of love but love don't pay the bills.

If this is inappropriate please accept my apologies - I don't mean to step on toes just the protector coming out in me.

I didn't realize I was stepping on toes. It wasn't my intent to assume any authority from @Michael or @Corrie. I thought I was forwarding ideas for them to use or not. I apologize and will think twice before making a comment in the future.

Nobody is stepping on toes,
I created this post thinking it was a nice idea of which I created an edit for myself (and a few who asked) there was also one other who also has done the same so hopefully there will not be any finger pointing going on!

I do alot of marketing for other groups including an overland group, as long as the overall IP isn't vastly changed or put into dispute I.E still in the realms for its intended use (to advertise the "cause") then there isn't any real harm done,

If it were an issue, the founders would have stepped in (being a committee member of the other said group, I would have done the same)

Not ranting :) but if it was a problem, something would have been said

Jumping in here! We're beyond grateful that you guys take the time to come up with these ideas. :)

Feedback: From a brand consistency perspective, we'd ask that the # is dropped from the graphic so it reflects the emblem design. No big deal.

We just launched something very similar for members who would like to feature us on their overland websites or travel based social media accounts (we create a transparent PNG file and send over an AI file). It's still new and finding its workflow. If anyone wants to add something like this to their website/social, email info @ overlandbound . com and we'll collaborate!

Bummer news: We have seen the OB logo ripped off more and more. There's an IG account that did it blatantly. We have to hold the reigns a little tighter over here now, but these are good problems to have.
