It would have to be super thin. A lot of states are moving towards nothing blocking the plate. Texas still allows them but you can get ticketed if any part of you frame covers the state name at the top.
Will this be a North America plate thing only? Many European countries don't have the same shape plates.

Although I like the idea, I won't be getting one. My front plate uses a factory mounted slide in frame mount (my light bar is attached to it also), back plate frame incorporates the rear camera.

Alright, talkin turkey - but what would you PAY?!

The cost of license plates varies drastically. You can do a standard template like this:

or a custom tamp like this:

or something else. I think the inclusion of your number is probably off the table due to cost unless there were a high demand for $85 license plates.

This is actually one of those ideas that seems so obvious you are surprised it didn't already happen.

There are a number of business swag type firms on-line such as Personalized License Plate Frames | Custom Promotional License Plates that can produce screen imaged plates as low as .75 each in quantity so you should have no problem recovering your costs even if it were an inexpensive $5 plate if you sell enough.

You might also consider branded travel mugs, antenna balls, and hitch covers.

No doubt - but those plates are not great. That's not how we roll. If it'll end up in a land fill in two years - we don't produce it - hence my question above. This is actually why we have not made these - quality makes it more of a challenge.

Okie dokie! We're diving into this one!

We have our first quality test run in motion. We're going to get to know the lay of the "not cheap-o custom license plate" land. :)

Thoughts on this design?

Update from HQ:
We didn't like the quality of the samples we got, We don't have a good supplier currently.
