The Velcro backed patches stick perfectly to the fuzzy material of most headliners. They even make a industrial heavy duty hook and loop that will hold some weight like a mic or similar.
Ohhhhh, I getcha. Wanted to make sure I wasn't gonna ruin the headliner in the process.... lol

This stuff works great for iron-on patch conversion to velcro backed. It's been tested in 140 degree vehicle temps here in NM and has done great. Just take the time to press all your patches once a month to keep them stuck and appreciated. ;)

(We have 2"x3" pre-cut pieces for a buck each in our store if you don't want a whole roll.)

The one's at www.overlandstyle.com are pretty sweet... but I'm a bit biased ;)
Nice reward for myself, yep.

As for rewards for kids found some PVC styled ones on Alixpress. Not strictly pertaining to Overlandimg but hey.. if my son and daughter help pack and setup sites and enjoy their interaction with Overlandimg happy to reward with a superman logo etc

I like this idea of moral patches, especially for rewarding the kids with participation.

Anyone got any links to specific sites for purchasing ones suited for camping/overlanding styled adventures?
So if you want some kid friendly ones, I suggest going here: http://cubcubs.com/collections/badges

For camping/overlanding many of the overland lifestlye website sell patches with their logos on it. Flockfam and Motus both have overlanding ones but you need to find them for sale from a collector, it took me forever to get the Flockfam overlanding patch.

ITS has this patch: https://store.itstactical.com/morale/its-overland-pvc-morale-patch.html
Exploro has a few cool ones: http://exploro.co/product-category/morale-patches/

I also suggest joining the Morale Patch Black Market on Facebook, there's always patch drops that show up on there that are pretty cool and you can buy and trade for just about anything. If you join get in the habit of trying to get something from one of the major drops and use it to trade for what you want, it's worked well for me thus far.

I could probably look back through this thread and find the answer to this, but I'm a bit too ADD at the moment... LOL

What's the best way to secure patches to your headliner?
For patches that don't come Velcro backed, I buy this stuff from Home Depot and do it myself: http://www.homedepot.com/p/VELCRO-brand-4-ft-x-2-in-Industrial-Strength-Tape-90593/202261931?cm_mmc=SEM|THD|google|&mid=shFwgTTzb|dc_mtid_8903tb925190_pcrid_111415246385_pkw__pmt__product_202261931_slid_&gclid=Cj0KEQjwhbzABRDHw_i4q6fXoLIBEiQANZKGW_i7A35NsFBEl16IfE0yrUSj3cdcDtH3a8g6UHul2j0aAp_D8P8HAQ

Industrial strength Velcro is the only thing I've found that can with stand the heat the interior of my truck gets during the summer.

The one that looks like this:
I have a handful them but none with the runes on it.
Oh, OK, got that one off of Amazon, and also the small one too to the right of it.
They both glow in the dark too.

Hey guys do any of you know where I can find a moral patch like this one below in the pic. I think it's pretty cool but haven't been able to find one unless I'm looking at the wrong sites. Thanks.
I found it on InstaGram, it's overland_jeeps that puts it out and you can get one by e-mail to overlandjeepsorg@gmail.com and see if he has any. Looks like it was posted over the summer but he's pretty active so I'm guessing he's around.
