Hiiiii all -

Anya from San Diego - New to this forum and overlanding. A lot of camping, outdoors, and sports experience!
I just bought a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport CrewCab. Topped it off with a ProTops camper shell for now and laid in DECKED to make for a bed platform, so that I can travel with my large dog who can't get into a topper tent. Currently working on a Goose 40% 2nd row seat delete. The truck is a bit heavy and long but extremely comfortable. Living accommodations are the current priority and the rest can come later.

In that forward thinking: I am interested to learn more on how to upgrade such a vehicle for whatever off roading folks think I can get away with.

Also looking to meet overland enthusiasts in SoCal :)

Just purchased a 23 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Added a Alu Cab Contour Canopy and Free Spirit Recreation Aspen V2 RTT. I live in northern Vermont and looking to get out there and enjoy the outdoors! Can’t wait to make some new friends along the way too. Cheers!

Primary overland vehicle - 1990 Land Rover Defender 110, 200tdi, RHD. (Victoria)

Lunch at the Yukon River, Alaska. Filled up on oil while there, too...lol.





Just returned from a 10,000 mile trip from Michigan to Alaska. Here, Victoria, is checking out the view along the Dalton (above picture). She's nothing fancy and you won't see her in any glamor magazines, but she's pretty trustworthy...and pretty rough and tumble.

I'm a minimalist, when it comes to overlanding, less is better and less than that...is better yet...and less than that...well, you could parish...so, there is a fine line you don't want to cross.

Looking forward to hanging out here and gathering knowledge.

Just wondering what the level of support will be and how relevant this site is to someone that is going to be the trail blazer. Any members been here and posted on the continent before? I search South America and nothing came up. Arrived in Santiago from New Zealand two weeks ago and going through learning Spanish, buy my Prado, negotiating the paperwork for ownership and border crossings and getting kitted out.
