I was born and raised here in Northern California. Grew up in West Sacramento. I was stationed in San Diego during my 6 1/2 years in the Navy and came back to Sacramento.

I've always loved being in the outdoors. Having recently bought my first truck that happened to be 4-wheel drive; I figured that I should expand on my outdoors experience. I'm a complete newbie to the "overland" concept. I love to hike and camp.

I'm a #girldad to the core (and by 50/50 chance) with four daughters. I do have a son who is my oldest. I want to give them the best opportunity to develop a love for the outdoors by getting them out there.

A few months ago I found a truck that "checked off most of the boxes" in what I was looking for. This is my daily driver so I don't plan on doing anything drastic to it, so I'll have to get creative in outfitting it to meet my needs on adventures.

Welcome.

If you are a novice about camping and Overlanding in Europe, well, just come along with us.
The next months there are several meet ups and trip organised by me.
In two weeks we are doing a trip and expo in the Netherlands.
LRCH (landrover club Holland) does the expo, we do camping and a trip on the saturday.
Start on friday evening.

After that we have a meet up at our place. OB Mid Europe HQ and we will visit the 4x4 Rhein-waal.de expo on the saturday.
Having a small meet up from friday till sunday or monday for friends from OB and more.

A trip from Langress to Grand France. Three days of laning and camping.

And after that we do a trip to Spain.

Hey, I'm Matt.

I live in San Diego county and just bought a black 1996 Land Cruiser. I'm new to overlanding but fairly experienced with backpacking/camping, working on cars, and designing/building stuff.

My last trip was as a passenger/spotter in the Anza Borrego area and I've definitely caught the bug.

I am the Northwest Director, and as @Kent R said @Sandpoint Steve is your closest Member Representative.
@Buzzard13 hosted a meet and greet last month where he was looking for input on where to go and what to do to keep the event going this month, so keep an eye out for something popping up towards the end of the month.

Labor Day Weekend we are going to be having the very first Northwest Regional Campout. Right now it’s in the planning stages, but getting very close to being wrapped up.

Hello All,
New member from the mid west, Chicago Illinois area!!! I am looking forward to finding people or groups in the mid west that like to get out and do some adventuring and camping. I may not have the newest truck around however it serves my needs very well. I tend to stay on back country roads and stay in state parks when traveling so I can get a good shower every day... As I learn about more trails near me I want to try some off grid spots.
