Hello Everyone,

Just found this site, and excited to be here. My family has been RVing, camping, hiking and backpacking across the country for years. I look forward to getting to know people with the same interests we have. My wife and I are teachers, so each summer we pack up and head to the national parks.

Homebase: Kingwood, Texas
Current Vehicle: 2011 Toyota Tundra
Previous Vehicles: 2007 F250 FX4, 1994 YJ, 1984 CJ-7
Overland Experience: Moderate

Here is a pic of the current rig with a little snow from a few days ago. We don't see much of this in the Houston area.

Hello all!! I am excited to be a part of this forum that is dedicated to just overlanding, rather than vehicle specific forums. I found this forum while searching for CB mounts for my Trooper, and it seems like a great group!

Location:
From Royal Oak, MI. Currently living in Breckenridge, CO.

Rigs:
(1) 2000 Isuzu Trooper with 125k, 2” OME lift, Maxxis Bighorns, rear factory LSD, 5 speed
(2) 2009 Suzuki Vstrom 650, Shinko 80/20 big blocks, skids, crash bars, fuse block for power output 12v/USB, aux lights, etc

Experience:
Novice-
I Offroad quite a bit when I have time, having owned a TJ, a 99 4runner and now my Trooper, and living in both Michigan and Colorado. Trips include camping in remote areas, but only for 1-3 days at a time. I’ve ran a few stages of the NMBDR which was a great trip. I am planning on a longer trip in May 3-5 days, likely Moab as it’s my favorite place I’ve been to in the US so far! Still deciding if I’ll be riding on 2 or 4 wheels for the trip

Hey Everyone

My name I Mike
I live in Berkley MI
I have a 14 JK Rubicon
I have been offroading with my Jeep since I got it two years ago and been camping in it. I've been to the three off-road parks in SE Michigan and had my bachelor party on Drummond Island (which was a blast). The picture if from the Mounds on MLK day. So I so a beginner overlander.

I built a wood platform for me and my wife to sleep in the back of the jeep and store our gear below. So I'm looking get into longer overlanding trips and want to head west and explore the Rockies in my Jeep.

Hello fellow enthusiasts,

I am an experienced off roader, mechanic, amateur machinist and backpacker. I've spent the last 11 years hiking around the country with my yellow lab. This fall she was diagnosed with spinal arthritis so we've hung up the boots. In an effort to keep her included in our adventures we have turned to overlanding. We seek a mix of moderate off road fun combined with quite time enjoying nature. We are currently outfitting a 2017 TRD 4Runner to meet these demands.

As for my Jeep Adventures, I explore the Pacific Northwest. I love finding quiet spots. In college, I used to go record the wilderness (storms, wild life, etc.)

Though the most recent adventure (outside of Washington State) was last Aug 2017 in Arizona.

Hey everybody, I'm Dave.
I'm up in Illinois next to the Wisonsin Border. For me this all started as a city kid camping, then a move to the mountains of Arkansas as a 6th grader, and then back to the city, and friends in the farming community with EPIC bonfires. After high school in '89 was the military. I started in intelligence, and got hurt, then I was transferred to aircraft mechanics. I spent some time in the California desert, then camping in Louisiana in the mid 90's.
After that I got into a big 4 wheeling thing, then my daughter arrived, and the Jeeps were sold in favor of an SUV...
I struggled between my love for the Toyota FJ, and my love for the military. I ended up with my H3 as a "comprimise"... When the transmission gave up the ghost, I gutted it, to build into a more capable vehicle to my standards and needs. Then I started seeing a lot of awesome camping pick-ups, and overlanding SUV's, and I was so intrigued, I totally put the build on hold. Now my only goal is have it back under it's own power, and camping by the 4th of July.
And I have a dog.

Hello
My name is Clint. I live in Southeast Tucson, AZ currently and have a 2016 JKU. I am pretty much a novice, leaning towards advanced novice HAHA. Mostly had 4 wheel drives since I learned how to drive in the mid 90's but never got too hard core. Always enjoyed exploring on little trips locally and especially when I lived in Reno, NV.

20180113_114459.jpg Hey there, been a member for a while but have never introduced myself or really posted much of anything on here. So I currently own a 2007 FJ and gotta say best rig I have ever owed. I have owned pretty much every Toyota out there but a highlander or a Prius ha. I'd say pretty up there in the knowledge /experience of Overlanding. Have put on about 50k miles in 2 years and got another 3k trip planned next month. Live in Bend, Oregon and love getting out in the wilderness here. Hooefully met some of you on our journeys :)

View attachment 45212 View attachment 45214 New member, located in northeast Wisconsin. I drive a 99 Chevy Silverado, stock with a cap. My wife drives a 2010 Subaru Outback, with a hard top rack for camping trips. We camp and explore in both depending on what/where we are headed. The Chevy pulls an old pop up sometimes too. Not a lot of off road experience, but we’ve been car camping for 5 years or so. Planning our first overland trip in late May, early June.
Hi Ripley104 and welcome to OB! Nice looking rigs! Safe travels and enjoy those open roads!
